EDIT: An hour and a half later, and I got a response from H-C. In my e-mail, first I complimented them on the site and how I enjoyed it. Then I suggested the countdown. Here's the reply:

Thanks, it has been a major project for us and we are glad that
you and other Snicket fans are enjoying it. We are still working on
"Mystery Three" which is starting to look great. But a countdown sounds
like a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion.

So we'll see if they come through. Watch TNN and Harperchildrens.com.
