I dont think that Beatrice is Mrs. K, it just doesnt work. It is most likely Kit Snicket, hence the K in both their names.

"To my kind editor: The end is near. With all due respect, Lemony Snicket"--she sent my email back.
EDIT: everyone is complaining that no one is responding to e-mails. let us not forget we just got this yesterday. give them some breathing room.
EDIT2:those three pictures on the NN happen at the same time and the next three chapters don't need to be read in order. thats kinda cool

Im not going to spoil myself so im not going to read it, temptation overpowered me before the Half Blood Prince released, i peaked and saw that Dumbledore dies. That kinda ruined it for me.
Edit: crap, i peaked, and read like the first two sentences of chapter one, and said, what the heck am i doing?!

Where did you get chapter one? Tell me, because I would like to read it.

Here is a link to the picture of the cover with the title...I got it from FYe they are stupid they gave it to me on October 2nd...hehe.......... www.grrface.com/uploaded_images/lemonysnicket-772242.jpgAlso, here is the back of the book. Dear Reader, If this is the first book you found while searching for a book to read next, then the first thing you should know is that this next-to-last book is what you should put down first. Sadly, this book presents the next-to-last chronicle of the lives of the Baudelaire orphans, and it is next-to-first in its supply of misery, despair, and unpleasantness. Probably the next-to-last things you would like to read about are a harpoon gun, a rooftop sunbathing salon, two mysterious initials, three unidentified triplets, a notorious villan, and an unsavory curry. Next-to-last things are the first thing to be avoided, so allow me to recommend that you put this next-to-last book down first, and find something else to read next at last, such as the next-to-last book in another chronicle, or a chronicle containing other next-to-last things, so that this next-to-last book does not become the last book you will read. With all due respect, Lemony Snicket.
