...Of course, she's from the Roaring Twenties, but that's besides the point. I have found, in the vintage Actress Loise Squ- I mean, err, Brooks, my visual epitome of our dearest Esmé. She's got the looks, the style, the eyes... She is Esmé! So, without further ado, some Loise... So- whaddya think?

Yes, she is incredibly Esme-ish! Spiffy! She needs, of course, a slightly more nefarious expression, but other than that...

See, but I doubt that she would sincerely look malicious... Though she does to some extent in the first and fourth pictures. The Baudelaires ddn't suspect her of being evil when they first stayed with her, so I can't see why you would assume she'd look like Malificent...

Ok, all I have got to say is Parker Posey.
She had better be Esme in the movie.
She is Esme.
She is absolutely perfect for it.
Remember her from Party Girl, You Got Mail, etc.
If she's not Esme than I don't know who is.

I don't picture Esme like that at all... Small eyes, small nose... almost shoulder-length wavy hair... clinched cheeks...

Hmmm... they're both great, but I must admit the first one, Loise, has a certain je ne sais quoi (hehehe... I love saying that) about her. She looks so... Esmerific? Yeah, that's it. Those are, by the way, beautiful pictures, S.

Parker has always been my modern Esmé- nice to know I'm not alone. I mean, GRAH! Perfect aura of malicious-fashiney-goodness. Huzzah!
And wouldn't it be that Velma Kelly looks like Louise Brooks, as opposed to the other way around...?

I'm telling you, Katherine Zeta Jones or Fairuza Balk is the way to go.
