Hector was my favorite gaurdian. We will see more of him...if you've read the tenth book, then
*SPOILER* You probably know that Olaf will use the eagles to catch up with Hector and the Quagmires.

Yeah...I was hoping for more of him in the 10th book. Now we'll have to wait a year. Maybe 2, if he doesn't come back until the 12th book!

"With these eagles at our disposal," said the sinster man in his hoarse voice,"we can finally catch up to that self-sustaining hot air mobile home and destroy those volunteers."
I don't like the word destroy.
Destroy=elminate=get rid of permenitly. that is why.
How did that guy know of the self-sustaining hot air mobile home, any way?

Easy one. Hector was in VFD and at least according to Jacques, always going on about his hot air mobile home.

That, and maybe Olaf gave them news about what happened in Village of Fowl Devotees?
At least it clues that Hector isn't evil, for the mwabbnh would have no reason to go after the sshamh if Hector could do it himself. Though he was rather stupid not to put a DOWN option on his SSHAMH, just in case. Or maybe he's just waiting for instructions of HOW to destory the "Volunteers" (Isadora and Duncan). I'm always paranoid of my favorite characters...

Why do you think that Hector seemed so knowledgeless about VFD when he was a member, or at least acquainted with it?

Read RR. Does Monty seem like a VFDer? Did uh...uh...who else was in it? Hmm....did that person who was revealed to be a VFDer in UA seem like a VFDer? I hope he's not evil but he may be. Hmm...he quoted the Baudelaire's favorite book, and in the words of Quigly, "most good people are well read". But then there's the fact that he didn't help Jacques or the Bauds....but maybe he wanted to test the Bauds...
