Let's just put down our theories of the fire survivor.

I think that Beatrice is the Baudelaire's mother. She died in the fire and Lemony survived. Lemony is actually the Baudelaire's father but Lemony Snicket is his alias. I believe that somewhere in TUA it says something about the Baudelaire's mother being "B. Baudelaire." In THH when they find their file there is a picture with Jaques in it. Why would he know their mother? Because he is her brother-in law, the Baudelaire's uncle, and their father's brother. Baudelaire could actually be the alias and the orphans could have been livinga lie their whole lives and they don't even know it!!

Oh no! Other(please specify) is going to kill u for starting another Beatrice thread. Yes Beatrice is the baud mom, but Lemony is NOT their father. In the aa he said that he was not the man who married Beatrice. I also think Beatrice survived the fire but my version of events is quite different...

Jacques knew the Baudelaires because they were in VFD together, not because he was related to them by marriage or otherwise.

Probably. Although, according to the supposed baud-Olaf relation plus conclusions from the LSUA family tree Jacques could have been a 4th cousin twice removed or 3rd cousin 3 times removed to one of the parents.

Can't the mods close some of the Beatrice threads? The constant uprising is getting annoying and ruining an otherwise interesting and important topic.
