Uncle Monty was the only one who was concerned with the children, and fairly normal. He would be the best one to describe the secrets of V.F.D. because he seems honest. Living with him would be difficult, though, considering that he is dead.

What a gimme. Every gaurdian EXCEPT for Monty - including other people they encountered when they weren't under anybody's care - had some sort of psychological problem. I mean - come on, Count Olaf is sadistic and evil; Aunt Josephine is phobia-laden and isn't responsible; Sir is sadistic and evil; Nero is sadistic and evil; Esme is sadistic and evil; Jerome is too passive; the Elders are power-hungry and irresponible; Hal - well, Hal's okay, I guess, but a little old; Olivia's irresponsible; I dunno who for TSS; and Widderhsins was the most freakin' annoying character ever. I couldn't even stand to read about him.

So Monty.
