OMG! I HAD SO MUCH FUN!
First, there was lunch, all fancy-shmancy. But it was cool. He gave a speech, along w/ 3 other authors. He talked about his life, and he was SO funny. At one point, he even said something along these lines.
"I learned from early on that life isn't fair. Last Tuesday is a perfect example of this." At this point, the crowd began applauding, for he was referring to the Election.
Then: the book signing.
He wrote in my copy of TGG and TBBRE that I was a "FUTURE ORPHAN" and that my friend was a "TREACHEROUS VILLIAN", since he had told me to read the series in the first place.
I asked him for the name of the next book, and he opened TGG to the letters, saying that it would be in the back. He gasped when he saw that the letter was torn and said, good naturedly, that I had manhandled my book. I told him that if he told me the title, I'd be sure to read it. He replied that I could just gouge my eyes out.
He did, however, tell me not to read DR PHIL'S DIET GUIDE. It is, "a horrible book."
Humor filled the afternoon, and I loved it.

Anyone who wants to sugar-deprive anyone is most definetly working for Olaf.
