OMG somebody from 667 buy those hooks, quick. We have to have them! They're not the hooks from the movie - they have too many curves - but they're similar enough! For reference:

I wish I could but I don't have 70.00 dollars. If I get 70.00 in the next day or so i'd buy it.

That hook is so damn cool. And it looks kinda eerie too.... How much did you say it costs?

I love the pirate-ish picture of Hooky from his Count Olaf fan site(hookhandman.com). And I wish I could afford those hooks, they are indeed ubarsuparc00l.

I wonder why only one is up for auction? Wouldn't a pair fetch more money?

I expect one was hard enough to fake up. I'm curious why you insist it's a fake. There were multiple hooks made for the film, for different costumes (like the MM ones that were essentially cut from the movie). It's a rather random and niche item to bother faking in the first place, it's not as if there's a huge demand for Snicket movie props. It would be simple enough to question the seller to see if anything is fishy. As for why only one...if it's a real prop, perhaps that's the only one that the seller was able to obtain. You're not really supposed to walk off a set with such things, let alone sell them.

I have the money on me now, but I'm planning to save up to by a portable DVD player. Oh, it's so tempting...

Well, the auction ended without the reserve being met. The seller obviously wanted more than the $71 it ended at. I'll watch and see if it gets relisted.
I, for one, think it is a real prop. The seller should use more detail in telling how it was acquired and offer some proof. Then he might be more successful in the auction.

I don't think you understand. It was a Reserve auction. The seller had a secret minimum amount that he would accept and the $71 was not enough. Who knows how much he really wanted, perhaps several hundred. I'm watching to see if it gets relisted.
