That is probably why it is suspicious. It might not look like a root beer float.

I've generally suspected that the information TBL provides us about The End will relate more to what happens after the series(from an AuthorTracker sent out last week, we know that it somehow goes on after The End), rather than instances of foreshadowing involving minor details like the ingredients in a really good root beer float. Still, the "suspicious beverage" could really be anything, though I suspect it'll somehow relate to the fruit found on the island.

Probably so.
Actually I've been thinking that BL will primarily focus on things that happened before the series, though depending on when beatrice died we may get some letters while the series is happening(before she died and lemony started writing perhaps? I don't want to dive into the whole chronological inconsisistency so I'll leave it at that.)
And I do hope it will tell us at least some things that happen beyond The End.
