I think Snicket should have given the book a better name such as the 'endless ending' or the 'rueful revenge' there were other ideas iwas thinking of any other names you would have preferred?

The Ferocious Finale was a favored choice but, after reading The End, I think that the book was two low key to be deserving of such an exciting title. I think the The End is ominous and mysterious, which means it fits the book perfectly.

Also it was easy for him to waste some of Chapter 13 telling us about the end of The End
