The exact line from the article, necessary because I ought to edit this out: It is believed that Quigley survived the 'Great Unknown' as Snicket mentions "one of the most promising young cartographers of our time" - Quigley is a cartographer.
For the record, the closest thing I can remember to that mention of a "promising young cartographer" is from Snicket's notes on a special edition of The Bears' Famous Invasion of Sicily, which was his favorite book when he was young. Snicket thanks Quigley for making a map that helped him cross the Grim River. That was published about two years ago, I think, and I'm uncertain about whether to count it as canon. However, if anyone can find that line someplace else, I'd be interested to know.
Also, this(the red color of the link indicates a deleted or nonexistant article):
...is a good example of why you shouldn't trust Wikipedia. Vandalism! Vanity pages! (I removed this, too.)
And finally, I should note that revealing what happened to Quigley would defeat the entire thematic purpose of the Great Unknown. The nature of this submarine/monster/whatever is supposed to be the one great unanswered question in the series, which Snicket won't even hint at. Solving it would, simply put, ruin the fun.

That's a very good point Antenora. But of course I still want to know what happened to them. Annoying how he managed to wriggle out of telling us. I'm just glad he found his siblings again.

TSS 334-335 But although I know exactly where the Baudelaires went, and can even trace thier path on a map drawn by one of the most promising young cartographers of our time...So Quigley, after getting out of the mountains, got in touch with Lemony and gave his the map and enough details of what happened to enable Lemony to finish TSS. Lemony included the last known note to Kit in this book, so he must have promptly submitted it to the publisher (and someone there was a V.F.D. agent who was supposed to relay the message to Kit). Not long after, Quigley got in touch with Kit herself.

I hope he writes like a single book another epilouge. . .
Thoughts?

I strongly doubt he will. It's not in his nature to exlain everything in such a straightforward manner, unfortunately. Chapter 14 of The End+Beatrice Letters were all the epilogues we're going to get I do believe. I wish it were otherwise.

I don't really get why Wikipedia is treated so harshly. The vadalism is usually deleted quite fast. I've reliead on that site. I know you should watch for fake quotes but everyone seems to hate it. I've found it very helpful on researching, and they make very professionaol articles. I read that quote you posted, Antenora, and I thought is was a bit suspicious but vandalism really is not nearly as common as you think.
Anyway, Kit said that Quigley and his siblings got picked up by the "?" mark submarine. I suspect we're supposed to decide his fate. Though I would like to write to Snicket some time so he can write an epilouge.

I just think they got swallowed by The Great Unknown...and of course, some of my opinions on what happened to them all are expressed in my fanfiction.
I agree with the statement that Handler probably won't write any more epilogues...it would, indeed, ruin all of the fun and speculation.

If LS gets a map drawn by "one of the most promising young cartographers of our time", then this could easily mean Quigley. But LS writes a letter to his sister, and she died in the thirteenth book. So he's obviously written TSS before TE has happened, which makes me think that Quigley helped him with his investigations before TE took place.
