MADRID - A woman set her Madrid home on fire Wednesday as she cooked up a potion in an attempt to imitate the fictional wizard Harry Potter, emergency services said.
The 21-year-old was rescued by firemen and treated for minor injuries, but half her home was destroyed.
The ambulance service said she had told them she was trying to emulate the boy magician, hero of the books by J K Rowling that have been a sensation among adults and children alike.
For want of more magical ingredients, the woman cooked up a potion of water, oil, alcohol and toothpaste, local media reported. It was unclear what spell she was trying to weave.

Yup, I read lots of books to her... all of ASOUE and Harry Potter ;D She's going to be 10 on Sunday... and I have a feeling she's going to get a bunch of chemistry sets as presents...

My mom told me yesterday that my eyebrows were bushy. They're blond, though. You can hardly see them at all. (Okay, that was really off-topic...)

maybe. i've had dreams that i can do magic. we were in line and the people ahead of me didn't now the spell for to levitate things and i thought they were all stupid cause i knew it. but i'm sure some people have tried to do harry's spells.

I was crying when I heard the news guy say it... "Today,a lady cast a Harry Potter spell and set her apartment on fire!" I wonder if she tried to cast the fire charm...  ;D |

Wow, one time I didn't want to get up to change the channel so not really thinking about it i said, "accio remote".... but it didn't come  anyway i heard this joke about voldemort and it was like: When voldemort is thinking up another scheme to demolish harry, WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA a lightbulb over his head and then insist, "I was only trying to help!" |
