Nev's in Gryffindor because he's a good main character, and good main characters go into Gryffindor. Gryffindor's the house of God, Slytherin is the house of all things bad. Gryfindor is little, happy children and Slytherin is Michael Jackson. And just to level out the field, JK added two makeshift scrap houses, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff (what a laugh) and threw the minor major (or major minor) characters in there. I don't care what anyone says, Hermione's a Ravenclaw. But since she's a good, main character she's a Gryffindor. But we all know the only houses needed are Gryffindor and SLytherin. Gryffindors always win. Don't say "oh no dey dont rememeber wen eval slytherun almus wun in book 1? ?//////////. Because they didn't. Dumbledore (or rather, JK) pulled points out of his that were just enough to make Gryffindor win. Sure, Harry and Hermione and Ron deserved htem, but Neville, for saying "Don't go out tonight?"? Well, of course, the under-underdog needed something. Oh right, we were talking about why Neville's in Gryff...that's why. Did I explain anything, or did I mindlessly rant? P.S. A self-proclaimed Ravenclaw says to at least attempt to use grammar, Is.

Well, let's see, he's not an evil slimebag, so, he couldn't be in Slytherin. He's not an emotionless snob, so he's not in Ravenclaw, and he's got a spine underneath it all, so he couldn't be in Hufflepuff.

I read in The Boston Globe in the comics section, there was this survey, about what Hogwarts house kids would want to be in, and more kids wanted to be in Slytherin than Hufflepuff, so, basicially, they would rather be evil than boring.

Naw, we just relish our cunning and ambition, in addition to having ego problems. Hah.

Well, if you're in Slytherin, you wouldn't think of yourself as evil . . . NEver mind, that hadn't been what I'd meant, anyway.

Mayb ehe's in Griffyndor because the Hat knew that he wasn't Ravenclaw potential, Slytherin in not a Nevillish house, and if he put him in Hufflepuff it's like saying "Oh, by the way, you know how you thought you're not all that brave? Guess what, IT'S TRUE!" So if he put him in Griffyndor, then it's like saying "Don't worry! You have potential!" Maybe the Hat likes giving warm fuzzies? Snaps for Neville! *snap**snap**snap**snap**
