Endy: Remus is, of course, our favorite character.
M: He's the cleverest. The brains of the marauders' operation, you might say.
Endy: As J said, Sirius and James were empyheaded gits and Peter was a moron.
M: Though, J, I remember you being a Sirius fangirl a while back...
Endy: Well, not a fangirl per se, but still...
M: Did you know that JKR doesn't even know what should happpen to her own characters?
Endy: Yeah. She put Remus in Gryffindor instead of Ravneclaw.
M: Well, actually, if anyone picked up on this, Gryffindors tend to put justice over law. In PoA, we find out that, in certain circumstances, Remus does, too. He thinks that Peter dying would be justice, and he choses that over what would be lawful (and more logical) turning him in.
Endy: Be that as it may, Remus was still a Ravenclaw.
M: Now for the long description of what he looks like.
Endy: Well, fanon and movie!canon have messed with our mental image of Remus up to a point, but we'll describe as best we can.
M: You know what
isn't[ helping this, Endy?
Endy: No...
M: The PoA DVD playing in the background.
Endy: But...it inspires me...
M: You're just watching the 'your heart, Remus' scene over and over so you can laugh at it.
Endy: Oh, right.
M: Anyway, a description.
Endy: M's NOT a screaming fangirl, by the way, and I'm not a screaming fanboy. I swear it.
M: Yeah. What Endymion said. ANYWAY, on to a description. The ever-contraversial topic of...duhduhDUH...the length of his hair. It's not long. It's not in a crew-cut, either. It's just a bit overgrown and shaggy, not totally straight. The color is brown with silver flecks throughout, but with a concentration of silver at the temples.
Endymion: He's thin. Very thin. Not emaciated, and he doesn't look like a starving Etheopian, J, but thin.
M: He's heavily scarred. I know that he isn't in book!canon, but the PoA movie made him that way, and the image isn't going anywhere.
Endy: It doesn't matter, though, because we prefer it this way.
M: Contrary to just about every fanfic in existance, I think his eyes are grey. Not amber, grey.
Endy: His robes are threadbare, but probably comfortable.
M: He's kind and understanding, but he's not one to cry at the drop of a hat as many stories have him.
Endy: He has a great sense of humor, cynical and dry.
M: For a final note, though we've already mentioned it,
I'm not a fangirl!Endy: And I'm not a fanboy.
M: Just for the record, you know.
