How many kids do you think are at Hogwarts? I say less than 1000, but did a calculation and came up with 280. Does that seem right?
The calculation:
10 kids/house/year= 40 x 7 = 280.

She said in an interview ut's 1000.

One thousand seems like a lot to me, and plus in another interview she says something else, like she contradicted herself.
So maybe it isn't that important, or she is trying to fool us or something.

Why would she fool us? A thousand is quite a lot of witch children from only the British isles.
