This is just a theory, but im guessing in one of the final two books snapes gonna take double duties and be the defense aginnst the dark arts teacher. it would probably make more sense if it was the seventh book. anyone else think thatll happen

no. i dont think that would happen. but i dont want the new defense against the dark arts teacher to be a totally new character. i want it to be like tonks or someone like that. shes probably to busy with the order of the phonix tho.

I think it would be cool is Snape were the DADA teacher for a year. Most likely in the 7th book.

That wasn't nice.. Anyway Snape, Dumbledore, and Mcgonagall are all in the order and they're at Hogwarts, so Tonks and/or Kingsley could be the DADA teacher.

I don't think snape will becom the DADA teacher, because, even though dumbledore knows he can be trusted, if the press found out that he was a death eater and was teaching dark arts to school children, especially with voldemort on the rise again, there would be a huge scandal.
But snape's one of my fav characters, so it would be good if he can be extra mean to harry in the 6th and 7th book cause I just love that........

You would think that Snape would be nicer to Harry, seeing as the reason Snape hates Harry is because of the "Practical Joke" on Snape, and as of book 3, Snape knows James was not involved in the "Joke" So I suppose the hate goes deeper than that. Like he hates Harry for what James used to do to Snape to make Sirius un-bored, such as in " Snape's Worst Memory" Makes you wonder if James didn't torment Snape on a regular basis. Poor, poor, Snapey. I wonder what his childhood was like. Probably bad, guessing from the flashes of his memory Harry saw in book 5. That was so sad!  |

In that case, it doesn't matter. Yes, I guess there would be a scandal thing. Snape didn't just hate James for the joke. He and James were livid enemies like Harry and Draco, always playing practical jokes on, making fun of, and trying to make life miserable for one another. I guess Snape started it though, just because James was a bit arrogant he got all mad and had a grudge. It's not fair for him to be mean to Harry though, it's as though sirius and Snape have both forgotten that Harry isn't James. Snape torments Harry as if his old rival has returned, and Sirius thinks his best pal is back. Very strange.
