I agree, there is nothing really so spectacular about her writing skills. If it wasn't for her plot, she wouldn't have much.

Well that's part of her skill, if you're a good writer but have a typical cliched plot, you won't get anywhere. There's nothing particuly special about her style but once you add in the plot, and characters, and other elements the story takes off.

I like Harry Potter. You don't have too. The size does put people off but they're a good read.

The size doesn't matter!! As long as they're long you can enjoy them!! Would you rather have 7 100 page books? I personally like Ron more than anyone else. Emma Watson is hot, though...

I completely respect the HP series and JKR, but yeah, I'm not a fan of the books...
Not that I don't like the content. It's just that I don't have the attention span for books, heh. I've tried reading them several times, each one of them but I get through about 2 chapters and stop. But yeah, this shouldn't be seen as offense to the HP books in particular. It's happened to me A LOT with books. I'm not much of a reader. The movies are really good, I've watched each of them at least 12 or so times put together. But it still doesn't quite motivate me to read the actual books.
However, if I could afford the first audiobook...
