I hated Harry Potter until my aunt gave me the Stone for Christmas. I had nothing to read, so I read it. I fell in love.

Everybody at my school said stuff like "Ohmygawd Harry potteris liekasoo gay!" So I didn't read them at first...I sorta figured they would be stupid kiddy books. But then I realised, hey, the people at your school are idiots, why listen to them on this? Also, I noticed all the hype the books were getting from the general public, and wanted to know what that was all about. So, I just borrowed the set 1-4 from a friend (who never asked for them back because she never read them anyway) and I haven't stopped reading and rereading them since. *sigh* It was love at first page. I jumped on the Harry bandwagon waaay late. But it was also good because I jumped on a few months before OoTP came out, and didn't have to endure the torture of the three year long wait between GoF and OoTP. ;D

I got the second, third and forth from my mum's friend who was going to throw them away for sum bizzare reason, and then my brother bought me the first one for Christmas. I think i had to wait about 2 years for OotP to be released . I've just got my brother hooked on the books as well, and he used to tease me for reading them!

Maybe she thinks Harry Potter is a devil worshipping thing, like some people. It's so cool when you get somebody else interested in HP, I love it!

Well, I got on the bandwagon way before you did, Trish.... I had started reading 1 in 3rd grade (in sixth now) and then I had to wait like two months until I got 2 from the library. I read it and then read three. By the time I was in the fourth grade I had just finished 4. My friend already had told me about Cedric and stuff at recess. I had to wait all three years for OOTP but one of my friends at the time already knew the title to it!! Ha!!

Do they, by any chance, know the title to book six? And how did you find out my name? I mean, it's cool you did, I just wondered how.

My grandma gave me the first one for my b-day, and I really didn't want to read it. Then I had to bring a book for lit, and that was the only one I had, and when I started reading it I freaked out and got all hyper.

I moved away... I'm not sure how he found out what the book was called... I saw people talking to you with your first name. Check American Idol to see what my first name is if you want...

I got a couple from my grandma too. ;D But I don't think I was even vaguely interested in Harry Potter at that point...It took all the people telling me how stupid it was to make me read it. But I was addicted after my first shot, and still am. You could just tell me, and spare me the looking through a thread, Gary...If you don't want everyone to know you could PM me...

I thought Harry Potter SUCKED at first... After the third came out, I decided to read them and loved them. Now I think they're okay, but not THAT good.

My old neighbor got me started on Harry Potter. I now think it's okay (7/10).
