We don't know that he's dead. Does anyone besides the trio actually say he's dead?

M: Oh, grow up. Endymion: More of the NOT insulting, M, like we agreed... M: Shut up, little kitten. Sirius coming back would be cheesy, uncreative and generally a bad idea. Extremely, extremely cliched. Endymion: Unfortunately... M: She's going to bring him back. Endymion: JKR loves cliches. Does anyone else notice that? M: JKR also bases a great many things on the work of JRR Tolkein. Endy: Remember Gandalf? M: And the 'dying'? Endy: And the triumphant return? M: It's the exact situation. Sirius had become Harry's mentor and protector (to the greatest extent he could.) Endy: Gandalf had become Frodo's mentor and protector (to the greatest extent he could.) M: Sirius died in a key turning point in the series (Harry learns of the prophecy.) Endy: Gandalf died in a key turning point in the books (Frodo and the fellowship need him as a guide to..well, we haven't read the books in a year or so, but you know where we're going here.)
M: In conclusion, bringing Sirius back would be cliched and bad. So that's what we're in for.
Endy: PS-Sirius is one of our favorite characters. In fact, he's second (after Lupin).

M: What wand thing? Endymion: The priori incantium thing? M: That was foretold from the first book, though, so it wasn't entirely unexpected or odd.

Endymion: Well...sort-of. M: It was because of the wands being 'brothers.' Endymion: It was planned from PS, but not outright told.

I find a lot of things in Harry Potter cheesy and I can overlook however she brings Sirius back as long as she brings him back. Sirius is more important than freaking character development.

We don't know that he's dead. Does anyone besides the trio actually say he's dead? J: Dumbledore. C: And he's a pretty reliable guy. J: And JK. C: Who's equally, if not more reliable.

M: J, post 'Sirius the dead parrot.' Endymion: Yeah! Or I will. Do you even still have it?

I don't still have it. Fanfiction.net deleted it. It wasn't a happy, fluffy Mary Sue or a generic brand angstfic, so they deleted it.
