SS-1998
CoS-1999

GoF-2000
OotP-2003
HBP-July 16, 2005
what were the UK ones?

All the recent ones were exactly the same (albiet five hours earlier or more...).
Let me find my PS book...
PS first published 1997
CS first published 1998
I have lost my PoA
GoF is 200, like yours, and from then on they are all the same.

It's going to be super long. It's got so many ends to tie up not to mention the amazing task of destroying 3 horcruxes and a final confrontation with Voldemort, plus Harry learning the necessary ablities to be able to fulfill his quest at all.
JKR once said that it would be like 'the encyclopedia of britannica' because she'd want to say goodbye to the readers and all that. Add it up, it's probably going to be far longer than even ootp and that was 868 I believe(at least the American edition was)
Yeah, I think(hope rather) that it comes around 2007...

Are you sure it's shorter than ootp? Blast. I wanted it to be around 1000 pages. Or longer.
And if R.A.B. did destroy the horcrux he/she recovered as the note said he/she would, then it's only 3.

In her interview with the Mugglenet and Leaky Cauldron site owners, she said she wasn't going to start writing it until next year because of her new baby. Then she said she'd probably spend about a year on it. It takes several months to publish a book, so I'm guessing it'll be out in summer of 2007. And she did she it would be shorter than OotP. I was kind of wishing it would be longer, too.
This is probably way off-topic, but I had a dream last night that I was reading the seventh book and it was 608 pages.

She probably thinks it is going to be shorter than OOTP, but I think when she actually starts writing and has to fit in all the info, itll be pretty close.
my guestimate: 783 pages
and since shes taking a year off for her baby hwere shell still be writing but very little.
so, i think itll be out winter '07.

Everyone is expecting her to have it out by 2007. However, like Mark (is your name Mark? If so/not, may I call you Mark, INeedYour Help?) said, she is taking a year off for her baby. So, this year off will be till summer of 2006, then? Then, if it going to be around OotP's length, it'll take 2-3 years. I think 2008. Maybe even 2009.

No I doubt if she'd take that long. She wouldn't deprive us, and her fans will nag her till she finishes it so, I suppose that she'll get it done soon.
