I know that she's written the last chapter in a hidden notebook and that the last word is scar, but how do we know for sure that it's about life after the war?

I et you anything it's going to be either Arthur Weasly(any Weasly) or Lupin or Hagrid, that way Harry will have no protection against Voldemort.
I BELIEVE DUMBLDORE'S NOT DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think that cuz he needs Voldie to come out in to the open!
Voldemort will know the job's done (IF he can trust Snape) and won't care squat about moving into public!

What are you talking about? He's already done so. His minions are attacking everywhere and he himself destroyed the Brockwell Bridge. I mean, he's gone public even if he's not standing outside the Ministry proclaiming "Hi guys, it's your old pal Lord Voldemort come to do you in!"
He also killed Amelia bones, and possibly Emeline Vance, so I'd say he's 'come out.'

thank you. I think that in book 7 Voldie will just take over the blasted country already, because in books about wars the good side is usually completely overrun before they come back and gloriously win the day so I think the ministry will get hammered and they may seek refuge in Hogwarts and then as Voldemort is crowning himself Emperor of the magical world Harry will show up and say "Hey yeah, I blew up your horcruxes so you can die now" and chaos will ensue and Voldemort will die and the world will be a better place

Sorry haven't been on in a while.  Anyways, the last chapter's about the aftermath of Harry Potter. What neville grows up to be, who gets married (cough, cough, Hermione and Ron), new professors at Hogwarts if there is one. Stuff like that. I think you can find the info at leakynews.comedit: go to book 7 about it. |

Hey...new article on JKR....it states some things about deaths in Book 7 and the last chapter that was written in the beginning (when she first started writing the series). She some slight changes to the last chapter. In the article, she states that two have now...er..."kicked the can" and another has gotten a reprieve. There are of course....other things in the article--something about the concept of main characters being killed off. I saw a theory somewhere (and I bet you guys know all about this already and it's old news for you or something) that suggested the end of book 7 was actually revealed in the first book. Apparently the wizard chess scene is supposed to be foreshadowing or something. Which means that Ron dies - he sacrifices himself to protect Harry. And good triumphs over evil, blah blah blah.
Personally I hope Harry dies. That way we'll get rid of all that inevitable fanfiction about Harry's happy life married to Draco in the future. *vomits*

People I want to die:
Snape, Wormtail, Voldemort, the Lestranges, maybe Neville, Lucius, Percy...
