First of all, who are Harry's parental figures? 1) Lily 2) James 3) Sirius 4) Dumbledore 5) Hagrid (sort of)
A perfect plotline:
Book 1: Parental figures 1 and 2 die. (James and Lily)
Book 5: Parental Figure 3 dies. (Sirius)
Book 6: Parental Figure 4 dies. (Dumbledore)
Book 7: Parental Figure 5 dies. (Hagrid)
Now it's just Harry vs. Voldemort. No one else. To quote Charlie's Angels II:
"Kill or be killed. Exciting, isn't it?"

No room for Remus. As usual.
Hagrid's too much of a duffer to be bothered with. It would probably be more damaging to keep him alive than to kill him.
But what ever gave you the "harry must be left alone" theory? The fact that JKR's mentioned it in 12 different interviews?

I think it is time for a wicked twist with Harry Potter's guardians.

I fifth that.
To answer your question, no I didn't notice that. I also didn't notice that Hagrid was a parental figure, I saw him more as just a friend. What use would it be for Moldey Voldey to kill Hagrid, it's not like he magically poses as a threat. Besides, how can you be scared of Hagrid? (Okay stupid question.)

Yeah, Hooker, I can see the Heart of Gold. Fine, not Hagrid, but everyone else is dying. And I only don't mention Remus because I doubt he'll die. (:

Generally people frown on bumping threads this old but I don't especially care, I think it's pointless to make new threads just because you don't want to revive an old one.
Yes, Harry has tons of parental figures, some of which die (Lupin, Tonks) some of which live (Weasleys). Thank goodness, if he lost all of them that would be too depressing to bear. Mr. Weasley was supposed to die in book 5, but Rowling axed that idea.

Yeah, but if you read through the thread you would notice the first post was made in 2005 and was speculating on what might happen. The thread was just bumped recently.
