I would've been upset if he died because honestly he had it horrid his entire life. He was either getting battered around by muggles or risking his life all the time, he had to have some kind of peace.

Dr. House died??? *confusion*
Okay then. He needed to STAY dead. The epilogue thing smacked of something a 10-yr-old would have imagined.

I don't really get why people complain about the epilogue because people complained about the books being so dark and then pretty much the one chapter that's not loaded with darkness people still complain about it. I complain about a lot, but sheesh...

I think people just expected the epilogue to either be more revealing, or less Disney-esque. Not that there is anything wrong with Disney-esque, it is a children's book guys, but still, it did seem lacking in her flair. Almst K.A. Applegate style ghostwriting type of an epilogue. It had all the right stuff but was executed a tad under par with Jo's flair.

Surely you could not have wrote anything better? The thing is, I didn't try to. I can admit the fact I'd probably suck at HP fanfics. And I liked the darkness of it, Jacques.

One should avoid from complaining about others work when one does not have the skill or imagination to something better.

I'd be ecstatic if people revived discussion of Deathly Hallows seeing as this section's been distinctly lacking in posts lately, but could we please keep this thread to more discussion of Hogwarts Extreme? There are more appropriate threads to talk about Deathly Hallows in.
