Remus v. Arthur--Who'd you want dead?

JKR said she had to kill Remus as a compromise for not killing Arthur. I'd have prefered Remus NOT have a crappy death.

Arthur could have died. Hermione could have consoled Ron; Harry could have consoled Ginny, Molly would still have a reason to swear at Bellatrix...

Wheras Remus could have survived, rechristened Teddy "Sirius" and perhaps witnessed the social acceptance of werewolves after Harry gets everyone to like them. But if Arthur would have died then it only would have been Lily, James and Sirius staying with Harry in the woods. I think JK meant to reunite the group one last time before it was over.

Remus should have lived. Arthur is nice, but Remus is twice and I just love him too much.

I would have wanted Arthur to die instead of Remus, but now at least Sirius and Remus are together ^^

Meh, I obviously didn't want either to die but I think Remus is the better choice because Arthur still has to provide for his family and gets to see his grandchildren and all. Whereas Remus was always that kind of figure in the shadows that you might expect to get killed off. *shrug* I can see arguments for either.

I'd rather have had Arthur die but both Remus and Sirius were doomed from the begining because JK wanted that scene in the woods.

Remus's death should have been more dramatic. I knew he was going to die, but for Pete's sake, let the man have his dignity.

In an interview, JK said that Dolohov killed Remus and Bellatrix killed Tonks. *Kills both*
