What's the deal with belly button piercing? Why is that appealing? I don't like sharp needles poked into my stomach but that's just me. I do sorta want my cartilage pierced but that's supposed to hurt like hell.

I remember getting my ears pierced...I was so scared and it didn't hurt at all. Which was oddly a bit of a let down.
I don't want anything else pierced though. I've never really seen the appeal to it either.
