Why thank you, Tragedy. Say, do you have a real name? I've never heard of such a name before...

And I know this sounds kind of hypocritical coming from me, but at a certain point mocking newbies just stopped being fun and started being pointless and disadvantageous to the reputation that this board should have. Really? Because I never would have gotten that you feel that way from some of your really cool member bashing posts. I'm not trying to start an argument with you, I just think that yeah, it does sound a bit hypocritical coming from you.

Four reasons I'm against it:
1. As has been previously said, it would cause a lot of tension between whoever is selected and those who don't make the cut.
2. Most newcomers have to put up with a lot of crap from people who can't stand newbs in general; why add to that?
3. What about the people who have been here for ages but aren't chosen? They'd probably feel like they've been ripped off. After being dedicated to this forum for an ungodly length of time and not being recognized and appreciated for it, they could become so ticked off that they leave.
4. The selection process in general would be unfair to too many people. Sooner or later, somebody's going to fit the requirements but can't get in for some lame reason.

Actually, my usual retort to that is "I don't bash newbies, I bash stupid users." Even my OMG BEETRIEC THEORY thread was more about people who feel no need to use the Search function (including me, which sometimes happens; I'll say something and people will point me to another thread about it). Question, though: why did you feel the need to point that out to me if I already pointed it out myself?

I don't know what would be worse, not being admitted into the exclusive board or being invited in and being hated by newbies, who will think you're arrogant. People probably will get excluded for silly reasons, such as, I don't know, making a Beatrice Baudelaire thread in their early days. I hate the idea of an exclusive board all the way.

I don't really have an opinion. I mean, if we do it, fine. If we don't, fine.

I bash stupid users. Question, though: why did you feel the need to point that out to me if I already pointed it out myself? Good question. I was going to say something else, but it was biased because it was one of my friends you bashed, and I figured it would be unfair. Yeah, sorry. I probably shouldn't have posted at all, in that case. Now the poll is leaning towards 'no'...

The original members are still able to communicate out of 667 without interference from noobs...so I don't really see how it can be such a problem.
But I quite liked Colton's idea.

Yes, I say no because of all the things pointed out above....and I just think it's a bad idea...what of you are a dedicated member, and you DON'T get picked? My point exactly .
