My mom said that OFF was bad for the skin, so I rubbed it on the hems of my pants instead. So I thought, why not put the stuff in detergent? I don't really have anything more than an idea. If people like it, I'll see if it can be done.

I like them, but I don't want to rub that stuff all over my pants.

Make a solution of mint oil and rubbing alcohol, place in a spray bottle and spray yourself before any outings. I'd never put OFF on my family. Bleh.

I like the idea, will it stay on the clothes though? or will it eventually rub off?

I like the idea of insect-repelling clothes, perhaps using Kobo's recipe instead of OFF.

As I was saying before. Mosquitoes are very sensitive to certain scents like Chamomile and Citriodora.
The first concoction was the easiest, what I do for my daughter who is especially sensitive to bug bites is this:
take 1 ounce of green leaves from both plants and boil in a gallon of water. Strain and place in the refrigerator. Before going outside, splash the mixture liberally over your face and exposed parts of your body. It produces a fresh, citrus smell but the mosquitoes will stay away.
You would do better to produce a repellant additive to detergent as repellant clothing would lose it's potency after the first regular wash

My mom never lets me get OFF so whenever we go on field trips I'm the only one with out it and I will die of bug bites. But I don't know about putting it in my clothes...

C: Hmm, there's something wrong with it, but I can't place what, and I don't feel like doing any research.

Another thing I thought of was a wash. You mix it up and dip the clothes in it and put it in the dryer.
BTW thanks for the recipe Kobolos.

Luki, try burning citronella candles. It really keeps the bugs away.
