I have watched that video now and I have heard about half of the things (or equivalent things) being said to men.

what?! people say "you don't even look like you had a baby" to me all the time. If this is one of the things said in the video, then it's already wrong, because there are at least two types of women who never hear that: 1. women who didn't have a baby, 2. women who look like they had a baby.

Well the direct consequences are that women with a job where they get much money still get more money than other mothers when they stay at home because they have a baby. That could maybe encourage women who earn much money to have children, because it would make less of a difference to their financial situation. It could also encourage women who definitely want children to still put lots of effort in getting a higher paid job before. But also it has the result that people who are rich anyway still get more money even if they are not currently working in their job.
I picked one of the additional options there. My actual opinion is that everyone, both men and women, who has a child under 3 years (but not both parents of one child at the same time) should have the chance to not work and still get enough money for everything that a family of that size needs. During that time there should also be courses for the parents to keep up to date with changes in their work field, so they can find a job again after however many years they want. But yes, I know, nobody has the money for that.

I keep reading this thread title as 'if you were asked to draw a dock' I just read this as "I keep reading this thread title as 'if you were asked to draw a clock'" I don't imagine tables with human legs, because they are called legs in German too, so that's normal for me. Hands of clocks are not called hands in German, and I only ever heard of that in this thread. So when I read Bandit's post about the minute hand, it took me a moment to figure out what a minute hand is. I can imagine that someone whose language doesn't call the legs of a table legs imagines tables with human legs too.

I always found it confusing that the minute hand is the big one and the hour hand is the small one, because hours are bigger than minutes.
Now I'm also confused that they are called hands. I just have to imagine a clock with actual human hands as hands whenever I hear that.

Everyone is a good person, at least in the opinion of those who agree with them.
I got 66% greens in the australian one. That actually wouldn't be enough for me to vote for someone, especially because they seem to disagree on some of the most important things for me, so I'm lucky I'm not Australian.

77% Bernie Sanders, 70% Hillary Clinton, 58% Trump. I generally find American politics weird.

I would have done something similar to what Bandit posted too, but I would try to make the circle as perfect as possible and the numbers in the right places. I think it would say about me that I'm not creative enough to think of a simpler solution (like a digital clock), and I don't do anything more than I'm told to do (no special designs or background things) but I do what I'm told to as exactly as possible.

I just realised I almost forgot to post my own thing But here it is. It's a recipe for Vanillekipferl, some classic German christmas biscuits. They are really easy to make. You need: 300g flour 250g butter 125g sugar 3 egg yolks 125g ground almonds 15g vanilla sugar I don't really know if vanilla sugar exists in other places or not. It's just sugar that has been put in a place together with vanilla for some time, so it tastes a bit like vanilla. It would be too late to make that yourself if you want to bake the things before christmas, so I suggest you just take a little bit of something which tastes like vanilla (and isn't artificial if possible) and mix it with a bit of sugar. Just mix everything except the vanilla sugar together and put it in some half-circle shape. Of course you can make any other shape too if you like. Then put it in the oven with 175-195°C for about 10 minutes, until they look as baked as you want. Dip the top side in the vanilla sugar while they are still hot. You can also put some cocoa powder or cinnamon there if you want. This is what the things look like: Another idea is to just make small circles/bowls and then press the middle down to create a kind of pit, and then you can put jam or chocolate or whatever you want in there. The ones in this picture kind of failed, but you get the idea:

Nobody posts anything, so you get a random video of a cat in the snow. This is the ersatz thing for yesterday, so can someone please still post something for today?

Today is another empty day, so you can post stuff you found again. Maybe wait until yesterday's thing is posted though.
Edit: Yesterday's thing doesn't exist yet, so we can have two ersatz things today.
