Oooh. The "pretty deadly lake." Thanks for clearing that up. Ahh, good one. Don't you think that the Swedish cottages look like those in Snicket's pictures in the last chapter. The ones where he said 'After the schisim' I think it said. Think about it, if you made them grey, and a little unfocused, don't you think they have a striking resembilence? Or is that just me?

ok yesterday when i was reading taa again i noticed towards the end that it mentions that count olaf dressed the quagmires as puppy dogs to sneak them on the plane. A plane? ok i got a new theory the reason we cant prove one place or abntoher is perhaps that they are not in one place the whole time except the map ok there goes that theory. Well den i don get this plane bit.

Just cos Snicket uses american words, like farenheit or cyclone or whatever, doesn't mean the baudelaires do. And VFD is pretty much world wide, so we can't know where asoue is because of where VFD is. Anyways, GO SYDNEY!!!!

I think they're in London. At least for the first and second book. In TBBRE it says London in one of the authors notes. In the second, it clearly states 'London Herpetological Society'.

That still proves nothing. The London society could be the biggest around, so Monty didn't really have much choice. I mean, just cos you go to Oxford doesn't mean you are english.

Your point? Monty was one of the best scientists. He just discovered a new breed of intelligent snake. Chances are, no matter where he lived, they would accept him.

THE NORTHERN TERRITORY!! Yay! Okay, that sounds retarded :PDuh! Your point? Monty was one of the best scientists. He just discovered a new breed of intelligent snake. Chances are, no matter where he lived, they would accept him. Very true PJ. Very true.

;D Sydney ALMOST became the capital. It was a fight between Melbourne and Sydney, so they choose Canberra, which is pretty much in the middle, although it's still in NSW. There is no Northern Territories there. Meh, who cares, as long as your in australia. Anyways, back on topic, it's in australia because so far there is no real evidence against it.

ok i'd just like to say go Perth though i highly doubt that it is here because as yet we do not even have an underground railway (its in construction) let alone secret underground passageways although that could be the exact reason handler chose it because no one would discover the secret passageways
