Sorry if this thread has already been made, but has anyone ever noticed that the Baudelaires use the metric system or not?
I've never noticed it, but has anyone else? If so, this could vaguely determine atleast what country they are/are not in.

The Baudelaires only use the metric system when forced to by Ms Bass; I don't think they ever describe the height of things in terms of either feet/inches or meters/centimeters. I recall someone's height being given in feet and inches once(I think it was Nero) but that's just because Handler's American.

The metric system has been discussed in some of the many threads we've had trying to determine the location of the series ( this one, for example), and I think Antenora's explanation is probably the accepted one (and general belief is that the books are set in a fictional land, anyway). I'd appreciate it if we could keep finicky details like that to the current thread on the series's setting, please. Locked.
