I'm thinking Kit Snicket is Collette, because in TCC, when Esme' offered the freaks a place in Count Olaf's troupe, Collette curled up into a shape which looked like a K and an S, and both of those could be initials standing for Kit Snicket. I think that either Kit Snicket, hoping that the Baudelaires had heard of her, shaped herself to look like K and S to signal to the Baudelaires to tell them that it was her and that she wasn't a baddy, or I'm just wrong. Because Kit is pregnant, she cannot curl her body, and she dosn't want to tell the Baudelaires that she is Collette, because maybe she dosn't want them to think that she is bad, as a noble person would if they were in this situation...... I think.

I think the KS thing was just a red herring, or a random thing with no real significance. Also, I had the impression that Kit had been pregnant for some time, certainly for a longer time than the few days between TSS, when Colette was last seen, and TPP.

And quite besides that, the Baudelaires would almost certainly have recognised Colette/Kit. They could be the same person, but not only would it be an incredibly bad plot twist, it would also be incredibly impractical. It could have been a very subtle hint, though, that the photograph of the Baudelaires at Damocles Dock, that was taken either by K. or R., was indeed taken by K(it Snicket).

Or she could have just been spelling out the word 'freaks'.

Another reason that Colette cannot be Kit is at the end of TGG. Kit is introduced as a woman "the Baudelaires had never seen before."
It could have been a coded signal that Colette had a message from Kit, but I doubt it. In TPP, p. 219, Colette says "Someone who can bend their body into unusual shapes could never be a volunteer."

In TPP, p. 219, Colette says "Someone who can bend their body into unusual shapes could never be a volunteer." That was her opinion.

I believe RockSunner's point is that Colette wouldn't be saying that if she really was a volunteer. It doesn't do to dissuade possible recruits.

Besides, it's kind of a far-fetched idea. Anyway, if she really was K, she would have at least tried, as the Baudelaires did, when they were in disguise, to stop Olaf from setting Caligari Carnival on fire.

For the reasons Dante, and RockSunner stated, I find this theory... false.
It was good insight though, but it would have been better said if it was before TSS-TPP were out.
