Well, there are several different threads that lead to "overall feeling of doom" . . . when whoever-it-was sggested that it shortened to OFD, my first thought was "Olaf's Fire Department." You can see where I'm going with this? Excuse me, I hear a person callnig me . . . I think they want to play dominos.

Oh, right, there's an "e" in "dominoes" . . . Heh. Yeah, anyway, OFD=Olaf's Fire Department=overall feeling of doom. Voila!

sorry . . .
I wrote that because my family (or so they claim we're related) wanted me to go play dominoes with them. The joy, the intrigue.

I didn't think you were, but it made me realize that I'd spelled it wrong . . . Funny game, no?
Man, I didn't see "official fire departmen" until like . . . er, just now. Obviously! Erm-- wait, would the Official Fire Deprtment lead to an overall feeling doom? Olaf's FD would, I believe, but the authorites in these books tend to be ineffectual, not threatening . . . Unless they're ineffectual on purpose. Because they work for Count Loaf. I mean, "Olaf." (Me da calls him "Loaf.")
