Okay, I have just been read LSUA again and I noticed one thing...Maybe it is a red herring, I don't know but on pg. 191 on the VFD IAQ thingy
Question 4 is "How long will it be before I see my parents again?"[/b] Then on the next page, it just has a letter from Lemony to Kit..it just sort of cuts off...
I feel it a bit too much of a coincidence...I mean, we all know that the family fires are connected....because of VFD and such..but it just occured to me that in all the fires that we know about (Baudelaire, Quagmire) the parents have died. (I'm not sure whether the parents died in the Snicket fire..but they might have)
I dunno, so maybe the parents arn't dead. I know this has been discussed loads of times, but I just thought I'd add that to the conversation...

As far as we know, there hasn't been a Snicket fire which destroyed the Snicket mansion. There have, however, been the Snicket fires, so called because a Snicket was thought to have set them.

Yes. Lemony said in thh that he was deprived of a comfortable home so that may have been lit on fire, or he may have stopped going to the snicket mansion for fear of apprehension. I do think Mrs. baud is alive due to the dad is dead quote in tss and the fountain notes in bbre.

And we would be lacking a series of books. or maybe they would go the early-twentieth-century British route...A Series of Mostly Pleasant But Dull Events.

What have you got against early 20th century British books? Which books are you thinking of?

This is a really odd conversation, but I don't think I entirly understand what we are talking about, or the whole point. What I think, is that the letter was put there, on the other page to show that Snicket still tries to keep contact with his family.
