We don't have a sword. For Reference: MM: The Minute and Hour Hand Uh, I'm pretty sure it's a sword. "There was a bright flash, and the Minute Hand grew longer as the Hour Hand shrank. THen Arthur was holding NOT two clock hands, but a SWORD that had some resemblance to what it had been, in the shape of a circular pommel, the circles on each end of the holt, and the gold chasing donw the silver blade."

Yes but it was a sword in a sense. It was still the clock hand. But on the other hand the supposed 'sword' could just be a rapier.

Well what about the will. What is it going to be this time? And how will it relate to the other parts that we have so far?

I would think that the Will may take the form of a rabbit, or some other furry slightly large in weight woodland creature. This book is taking place in a maze, so it would seem logical.

Something allusional like a flamingo or a hedgehog would be cooler, though. The Carp was pretty cool, though... But still, just because it's in a maze, doesn't mean it has to be maze-ey. I mean, what has a bear got to do with an island? Or a Carp got to do with a forest? Or a frog to do with a city?

You do have a point there. As for a flamingo, I always assumed that the will would take the form of a creature that mightly be slightly obese, in keeping with the pattern of the Will's actions reflecting those of the Morrow Day that came before it.

On the topic of Keys to the Kingdom, I received this email yesterday:
"CONGRATULATIONS! You have won A signed copy of Across the Wall. The book will arrive in the mail shortly. Regards The Keys to the Kingdom" TEH SKILL!!!! This is the SECOND prize I've won from Keys to the Kingdom book competitions. In fact, so far, I've only ever won three prizes, and all came from book competitions. Heh, the signed copy can sit next to my signed copy of Drowned Wednesday, my Keys to the Kingdom watch and my Drowned Wednesday poster. [/show-offage]

Lucky you. Is that 'Across The Wall' part of the Abhorsen trilogy? It has "The Creature in the Case" and then a lot of other, non-Old Kingdom stories. It's pretty good, truth be told. If you see it, buy it. Lots of nifty stories and stuff. What will I do with my current copy, though? I need someone to give it to....
