Thanks. You have no idea (well, maybe you do) how good positive reinforcement really is. I'm glad you liked it. The next Part will involve trickery and my ties to telepathy shall be explored. You also might learn of an enemy. Then, perhaps, in the next part, an accident might befall Ennui and Dante might have a little run-in with the law.

I can imagine that, him bursting into flames when he is angry and the police just run away.

I was thinking more along the lines of him being tricked and then kidnapped by the enemy, and FFWF might get locked up, and he will simply melt the bars, and burn away all photoes/video footage of himself, then simply stalk off. And I won't say anymore. Except the bad guy's gift is electricity.

And I won't say anymore. Except the bad guy's gift is electricity. That's ok then. I could make a short appearanceThere is only one thing, Dante and Antenora looked at one another, then Dante said “Actually, his name comes from a children’s series, in which the author explains that Ennui is French for boredom.” Even Snicket got this wrong, Ennui is actually English, it was taken from the French in the 1800's The French no longer use Ennui that much, they use Langueur. What a fun fact.

Fascinating. Though they still use ennuyeux, "boring", and ennuye, "bored".
Ennui is stronger than boredom, really. Baudelaire says it best.
"He willingly would devastate the earth..."
It's the boredom that leaves you with nothing outside or inside, robs you of capacity, of sentience, of everything. Nasty, in short...
Oh, and PJ, the story is getting along very well...fills the gap while I rest on Intellecteteers...

Oh, and PJ, the story is getting along very well...fills the gap while I rest on Intellecteteers... Oh, and PJ, the story is getting along very well...fills the gap while I rest on Intellecteteers... Speaking of, You had better write some more of that or Noble Uniforms.....or POW! Here is part V. I just wrote it, and haven't gone over it or anything, so it is probably of lesser quality: Part V After everyone had showered and rid themselves of the ash, everyone went to bed. Everyone was too tired to even read anything. As PJ began to fall asleep, he felt warm, and happy. Too bad it wouldn’t last long. In the morning, after breakfast (cereal and toast) everyone sort of relaxed. Antenora was downstairs, rummaging through the storage room, Ennui and Dante where playing chess and PJ was watching. In the middle of the game, Ennui asked PJ something that took him by surprise. “PJ, you seem unusually sensitive to the mind’s of others. Why, just yesterday, you got a premonition just by touching me, when my mind was linked to a girl in a fire. You where able to somehow draw something about the fire from that. You aren’t telepathic, are you?” Both volunteers where staring at the chess pieces. PJ felt a bead of sweat drip down his head. Oh oh. He didn’t want to reveal that he could hear what Ennui said. The group still didn’t fully trust him, so he needed to hear what they had to say. Besides, if they didn’t trust him, why should he trust them? “No, not that I know of.” For a minute or two PJ stood there, then he finally said “I’ll go help Antenora with the storage room.” He quickly went down the stairs. Then he leant against the wall and thought of Ennui. Hard. “ …probably lying. But why would he lie? Perhaps he is trying to listen in on or conversations, to find out whether we are trustworthy. We have to know for sure. What if we…” “What are you doing?” PJ spun around and saw Antenora standing behind him. He paled. “Uh…I was…trying to get a premonition.” Antenora raised an eyebrow. “From the wall?” PJ nodded. “Yeah, I was just trying to see if I could control it. Maybe I should try the stuff in the storage room…” Antenora looked at him strangely, then she said “Ok then.” And walked upstairs. PJ sighed, and walked into the storage room. PJ sat in the storage room, and rummaged through the piles. He wasn’t getting any premonitions. He hadn’t thought he would, either. Suddenly he came across a shiny silver dagger. It seemed special. Surely enough, as soon as he touched it, he received a vision He was in some kind of ... factory. Someone was standing in front of him, talking to someone else. He couldn’t see this other person, but was startled when he realized he was looking at himself! A dark figure walked forwards, on the tips of his toes, a silver dagger in his hand. This dagger was not unlike the one that he was currently holding, back in the storage room. The dark figure raised the dagger to strike his own back, when…His vision swam and he found himself lying on the floor of the storage room, the dagger at his side. He shivered and discarded the dagger. He promptly left the room. He decided some time on the computer might drive the memory of the premonition out of his mind. Someone had been about to kill him… He started up the computer, and had a look in the files. Perhaps there was something on the computer? He checked the history of the internet and found nothing. He searched the C drive and found a file marked “Information”. Jackpot. He clicked on it, but was confronted with a password screen. PJ swore violently. An idea occurred to him, suddenly. Perhaps Ennui might reveal the password whilst talking to Dante? It was worth a try. He concentrated hard, and Ennui’s voice came into his mind once more. “ ...can’t read them. They are encrypted, remember! What? You forgot it again? Some genius you are. It’s “Fight Fire With Fire”. I swear, you forget some crucial point of information when we’re fighting crime, you could endanger us all. Anyways…” PJ smiled. This was a lucky day. He typed “Fight Fire With Fire” into the space and pressed enter. A moment later, it opened. He saw many files, like: “Smart Mobile, Antenora, Drogue, Dante, Gifts, Ennui, PJ. PJ clicked on his own name. There was a single word document within, also marked PJ. He clicked on it, an the program loaded. He tapped his fingers impatiently on the table. Then it opened. The text was very short, only one line: It seems you ARE telepathic after all. “Well, well, well,” Came Dante’s voice from behind PJ. PJ jumped and spun around. Dante and Ennui where standing there. He hadn’t even heard them come in. They had tricked him! It had been so blatantly obvious! What where the chances of Ennui revealing the password at that exact moment? PJ was mentally kicking himself. Dante grinned and Ennui simply said “It seems like you where lying to us. You are partly telepathic. And you know it. But why didn’t you tell us?” PJ looked ashamed. “I heard you talking yesterday. About me. I figured, if you didn’t trust me, I shouldn’t trust you either. And yes, I am sort of telepathic. But I can only hear what you say to other people, not what they say to you. And I can’t read minds either.” Ennui seemed to be thinking. “It was a mistake not to trust you, I see that now. It seems like your premonitions make you slightly telepathic. You are more receptive to mind-speak, and can hear what I say, even if I’m talking to someone else. I suspect it helps you greatly with your premonitions, like, for instance, how you saw the fire yesterday, using me as a conduit.” PJ relaxed. It looked as though he wasn’t going to be punished. “I have but one question.” PJ said then. Dante seemed surprised. “What?” He asked. “Who, or what, is Drogue? There’s a file with that name on it, and I heard you talking about it yesterday.” Ennui and Dante looked at one another. “Drogue is, basically, our arch-nemesis. He is gifted, like us, and can throw lightning bolts. He’s a walking power generator. He is also malevolent, scheming and evil. Kind of like Dante.” Ennui said, and smiled. Dante glared at him, but he didn’t seem to mind. “He is the leader of something like the mafia. If something illegal happens, he’s behind it. We have been thwarting his plans ever since this agency was formed. He killed one of our friends, who could morph into whatever shape she wanted.” Dante scowled. “I never liked her anyways.” “He doesn’t, however, know where our HQ is, so we are safe here. Each of us has a small price on our heads though. We have been attacked quite a few times. Yesterday, it was Drogue who set fire to that house. We are certain. It belonged to the head of police, and he died in the fire.” PJ was silent, taking in all this. After a minute or so of silence he said: “So you do you people have any games on this thing?” Hehe, I just noticed that PJ is never introduced to VFC. I will modify the second Part...

Very clever, PJ. I'm writing like this because I live in fear of Dante's anger, even if he's away, but I do wish she'd come back. I've sent her many long, apologetic, pleading PMs that she may not ever read...

I've sent her many long, apologetic, pleading PMs that she may not ever read...Yes, cos Dante will BURN YOU...I might even add J to the story....she might come back from the dead. MIGHT. It feels like i'm whispering cos i'm hunched over and leaning towards the screen, as if i'm whispering to you, so that Dante may not hear, and burn me. Their last duel, however, was spectacular. Too bad she left before it ended properly....

I supported Dante strongly in that, while assuring swans I wasn't her enemy...but she left anyway. I'm wracked by guilt about that whole incident. I feel like an evil, woman-bullying coward. But if I'd supported swans and Dante had scarpered I'd also feel bad. Moral: don't get involved.

And I didn't take an open part of it.

FFWF should be back soon, unless he left. Why is this in crossy out-y writing?
PJ when are you going to write more? *hint*
