It's kinda dying....I'll finish it though.
eventually
Here it is, the long awaited Part X! It's the longest, and the last one:
Part X
Within Dante’s head there was a conflict. Moments before he had been an inferno, and PJ, a mere fifteen year old boy, had stopped him! The humiliation! But, on the other hand, Dante had completely lost control of himself. And he did not like losing control. So he was caught between despising PJ, and thanking him. He settled for scowling. But PJ wasn’t looking at him, he was leading them towards Ennui. They encountered some guards rushing towards the fire, but Antenora slammed them into the walls. They where still. And, a few minutes later, they heard Ennui’s faint shouts. “Help!”
The volunteers all responded as one, all thinking “We are coming!” at the same time. Ennui sounded relieved. He directed them to his cell room, until they came to a halt in front of a thick metal door. PJ turned to Antenora. “Can you open that door?” He said. Dante smiled. “She could rip it off quite easily. But I think we should just turn the knob.” PJ looked sheepish and unlocked the door. He opened it and Ennui staggered out a moment later. “Thank god you’re here….he was going to drug me and force me to work for him. Let’s get the hell out of here…” He staggered forwards and PJ and Dante caught him. “I’m still a bit whoozy…” he said, moaning. “We will help you.” PJ said. “Now let’s get out of this place.” “No.” Dante said.
“No. Drogue has gone too far this time. He must pay for this. I say we go after him. We four can handle him easily!” “I’m all for vengeance, but I am afraid I will be of little help. I can barely stand upright.” “I don’t care.” PJ said, shrugging. They all turned as one to Antenora. “No way!” She said. “We’re all tired and drained. We will just get ourselves killed!” Dante shook his head and looked her straight in the eyes. “Drogue shall fall,” Was all he said. Antenora turned away. “All right.” She finally agreed.
Our heroes stumbled to this factory for a few more minutes, before they arrived near a large door. “He’s inside.” Ennui said, after a moment of concentration. Antenora waved her hand and the door banged open. She dashed in, prepared to deflect any projectiles. The room was dark. Dante, PJ and Ennui rushed in after her, and closed the door behind them. PJ slid a large bolt home. They didn’t want anyone to disturb them. Then the lights flicked on.
Standing on a small stage in this room was Drogue. Beside him, surprisingly, stood a child, about 12 years of age. He had dark hair and glared at the volunteers. “Welcome, my dear volunteers. So nice to see you all again.” Then his face darkened. “I was rather dismayed to learn that you destroyed half of my home in getting here, but I am glad that we finally meet properly, face to face. Allow me to introduce my special little friend over here. His name is Damian. He has quite a special talent. I’ve been raising him as the son I never had.”
Dante lowered Ennui to the floor and glared up at his two enemies. “This time, Drogue, you have gone too far! You have kidnapped one of our own, and this demands action! Too long have you made the streets of this city unsafe. Your tyranny shall end tonight!” He climbed up to the stage. “You shall pay!” He raised his hands, and a large ball of fire floated above his head. He shouted and sent a wave of pure flame straight at his enemies. Drogue, too, raised his hands, and a bolt of lightning struck the heart of the fire. Normally, both lightning and fire would have passed one another, but these where magical elements. The lightning struck the fire and both cancelled one another out.
The fire and lightning dissipated. Dante seemed stunned. He then sent a another blast of fire forwards, and Drogue countered once more with lightning. “So it shall be!” Dante shouted. “We shall fight until the first falters!” A blast of continuing fire shot forwards, and a constant bolt of lightning flew forwards to strike it. The two elements mixed, negated one another, then mixed again. Both Dante and Drogue where throwing everything they had at each other. Both where equal. The question would be, who would tire first?
Meanwhile, Antenora was preparing to slam Drogue into the wall. She leapt into the air, and her telekinetic powers kept her floating. She raised her hand to strike, when the boy, Damian, leapt up beside her. He too was floating. “It is their fight, not yours. But if you want to fight, be my guest.” Then Damian flicked his wrist, as if swatting a fly, and Antenora was flung backwards into the wall. She stopped an inch before it. Damian seemed surprised for a moment. Antenora sent him flying into the wall. He barely stopped himself in time. PJ stood, astounded, watching the two telekinetics battle one another. It was amazing.
Ennui tugged him on his sleeve. “We have company,” he rasped. PJ turned, and saw a pair of guards, trying to force their way into the room. Ennui’s face screwed up in concentration, and one of the men fell to the floor, clutching his temples. The other was surprised for a moment, then he fired his machine gun at the door. PJ ducked, but the door held the barrage of bullets. It was, apparently, bullet-proof. “Block the door!” Ennui shouted. “I will try and hold him off as best as I can.” PJ ran forwards and grabbed a metal chair nearby, and placed it in front of the door. He ran back, and grabbed another, when another guard began to pound on the door. The man pulled something out of his belt and then ran away. PJ realised a second later what had happened, and dived aside, just as the grenade blasted the doors open.
PJ ran through the smoke with the chair still in his hands, which was pretty stupid, but he just happened to ram right into the soldier. He fell over backwards and PJ pinned him down with the chair. “Ennui!” He shouted. The man underneath him struggled for another moment, then Ennui’s terrible mental powers gripped his mind, and he fell unconscious. PJ grabbed the machine gun and ducked back into the room. He spied a large metal cabinet in the corner. He ran over to it and began to shift it towards the door.
Slowly but surely, the metal door inched forwards, the metal scraping harshly on the floor. Ennui felled another guard before PJ arrived at the door, where he tipped the large cabinet over, right in front of the door. Then he dashed back, grabbed a few chairs, and wedged them in the top, so as to completely block the doorway.
Meanwhile, Antenora and Damien where having an epic battle. Although Antenora’s gift was stronger, she was weakened. So she and Damien where pretty evenly matched. She floated towards him and sent him spinning towards the wall. He stopped himself and hurled her upwards. She stopped, then dropped down on the boy. Her arms infused with her telekinetic powers, she grabbed the boy by his shoulders, and spun him around with superhuman strength. With a shout, she let him loose, and he smashed into a wall with a shout.
He turned and lashed out, surprising her, and she too flew backwards into the wall. She pushed off and flew straight at him. She flew at him, and he flew at her. Their fingers interlocked, and both grabbed each other’s hands. With strength that would fell elephants, Antenora and Damien tried to break each other’s grip and hurl them aside. They spun around in the air, flying crazily in all directions, until they hit another wall. Hard.
Their hold on each other ceased and they both fought for balance. Antenora was standing on the wall, as if it where the floor, and she used it to push off, and blasted into Damien. She grabbed him by the midsection and rammed him into a wall. Then she hurled him downwards. She floated down after him. Damien spun and flew back up at her, and the fight was on once more.
Antenora shouted and deflected him just in time. Then she sent her mind down to the collection of chairs in the corner. She lifted them up, and hurled them en masse at the unsuspecting boy. Seeing a barrage of chairs flying at him, he shrieked, and managed to erect a mental barrier between himself and the chairs. They crashed against it, hammering on it, whilst Damien cowered within. Antenora flew over to him and, with all her remaining telekinetic power, she struck down on his shield. It shattered, and Damien was sent flying downwards, straight into the power struggle of Dante and Drogue.
Dante saw the kid fall and for one split second, he faltered. This kid was about to be killed. Drogue, equally alarmed by his associates predicament, redoubled his lightning bolts, and the lightning bolts negated the fire that had, for a second, been weakened, and they struck the volunteer. Dante was bodily hurled against one of the walls. Drogue leapt forwards to catch his ally. Dante lay groaning in the corner as Damien fell into Drogue’s hands. He laid the young boy onto the side and turned to the volunteers. Dante lay in the corner. Ennui had passed out after having stunned the guards, and Antenora floated downwards and lay still. All three of the volunteers where out. PJ gulped. Drogue smiled. “Well, PJ, you see the carnage I am capable of. Dante is defeated, by my own hand, Antenora is unconscious, thanks to my comrade here, and Ennui is also useless, due to the drugs I forced into his system. It is just you and me. You have, basically, no chance at winning against me. Join me, and I will give you riches beyond your imagination.”

PJ stiffened. Another vision. He saw…himself. He was older. He was shouting at Drogue. Drogue struck him in the face and sent an electric charge into him. PJ stopped moving. He was dead. His vision cleared. He suspected he had just seen what a future with Drogue might lead to. PJ shook his head. “You will kill me if I join you. Besides, you have no idea what power I possess, so you cannot know if I will beat you or not.” Drogue seemed worried. “Join me, and I won’t harm you, or your friends.” PJ laughed. “You are a liar.”
Then, for a moment, PJ experienced Déjà vu. He felt, oddly, that he had been in this position before. Then he remembered. The vision he had seen in the basement. And that meant…. PJ pulled the machine gun that he had taken from the guard out of his pocket. Drogue clenched his fists. “You can’t kill me. You don’t have the guts.” PJ smiled. “I do not plan to harm you at all.” Then he turned, and fired a bullet straight into the kneecap of the knife-wielding man standing behind him.
The man shouted and fell to the floor. PJ kicked him in the head. He was still. PJ turned back, and tossed the gun away. He seemed calm. Inwardly, he was shaking. He had just shot a man. Drogue was staring at him in amazement. “I have second-sight, Drogue.” PJ said. “And I have foreseen my future with you. You will kill me.” “And if you don’t join me?” PJ smiled. “Then I will have just distracted you long enough for Dante over there to blast you before you can do anything.” Drogue spun around and saw that Dante was still unconscious. He spun back. And saw Antenora in front of him. PJ had distracted him long enough.
Antenora shouted and Drogue was hurled into a wall. She waved her hand, and Dante floated over to her. She shook him roughly. “Wake up!” She shouted. He stirred. PJ, who had not moved, suddenly leapt over to Ennui. “Wake up!” He shouted, and shook him. Ennui, too, stirred. Drogue was picking himself up when Dante first opened his eyes. “So beautiful…” He moaned, seeing Antenora, who blushed deeply. Dante then seemed to awake. A moment later, so did Ennui. PJ lifted him up and dragged him over to Dante and Antenora. Drogue stood opposite them on the stage, silently.
Dante stoop up slowly, and shouted “You will never win! After all you have thrown at us, we still stand here, strong! You have no allies with you this time. You are hopelessly outnumbered!” Drogue stared at them, then said “It felt good, didn’t it?” Dante seemed confused. “What felt good?” But in his eyes something changed. “Burning my factory down. You where engulfed in fire. No worries in the world, nothing could stop you. You where like a miniature sun!” Dante said nothing.
“With your friends, you won’t experience that again. You fight crime. You don’t burn things down. But, with me, you can burn whatever you want. Think about it! If we combined our powers, we would be unstoppable! And I have enough power to protect you for your whole life. The military would be powerless. We could control the nation! Hell, maybe the whole world! Come to me, and you won’t have to worry about anything anymore! You would possess enormous power! The world is waiting for someone as bright as you are to take over! You could lead us to greatness!”
Antenora grabbed Dante’s arm. “Don’t listen to him!” She said softly. Dante didn’t seem to hear. But PJ could see it in his eyes. He was softening. “What about my friends? They too possess power. Won’t they try to stop me if I commit crimes?” Drogue shook his head. “They can join us, if they want. If not, I will leave them alone, if they leave us alone. Besides, they wouldn’t dare harm you. Join me, and they will be safe. Together, we can leave petty crime and lead our entire nation to greatness! You and me will be the most powerful in the world!”
Dante seemed to be struggling in some inner conflict. He was shaking slightly. He was very troubled. A faint frown was on his face. “But my friends…their powers are useful as well.” Drogue shook his head. “Ennui’s powers will be useless once I perfect some truth serums I am working on. And Antenora’s power can be matched with an army.” Dante seemed even more troubled. “That is true…”
Antenora grabbed his arm. “Don’t listen! He’s a criminal! He will kill you as soon as he gets the chance!” Dante slowly turned to PJ. “Will he?” He asked. PJ seemed surprised. He stepped back. “I…I…” His vision blurred once more.
PJ’s eyes snapped open. He seemed very, very troubled. “Well?” Dante asked, glaring deep into PJ’s eyes. “If you join Drogue, you will indeed become very, very powerful. The two of you will become great leaders, and you will take over Drogue’s empire when he dies.” “And?” Dante snapped. “And…we will die. We will attempt to stop you…and we will almost succeed. But we cannot kill you. You where once our friend. Then…” PJ gulped. “Then you will kill us.” Dante seemed shocked.
“He said we will become powerful. Join me!” Dante seemed very troubled. He turned to PJ. “You have not lied to me, even though you are digging your own grave by doing so. Thank you, my friend.” He turned back to Drogue. “Listen to me, Drogue, and listen well! Ennui, Antenora and me can all be replaced. None of us are truly unique. But PJ is. He has access to information that no one else has. I will stay with my friends, now and forever! You may be powerful, Drogue, but so am I! Look into my eyes! I have more power than you had ever dreamed!” Drogue stared straight into his eyes, deep into those verdant pools of intelligence. And he saw that Dante was telling the truth. If it came to a fight, Dante would fight to his very own end, if he had to.
“You have already lost!” Dante shouted, and stepped forwards. Drogue stepped back. Dante’s eyes shone a fiery red, and fire began to flow around his hands. He began to advance upon Drogue, his fellow comrades behind him, their faces determined. “You may have won this battle, but not the war!” He grabbed Damien, blasted a hole through the wall, and leapt through. “Let’s get out of here,” Dante said.
A few moments later, they stood outside, watching the building slowly burn. Antenora leant against Dante, who seemed exhausted. “You made the right choice,” She said. Dante simply nodded. Then the volunteers trudged back to the van.
THE END
Phew.

Good ending! It incorporated moral dilemmas and long speeches, both of which I enjoy.
Write more soon. Or else.

I'm working on Reborn and am thinking about writing that Hell story i've been talking about. If you've read the random thread pages, then you'll know what I am speaking of, if not, i'll talk to you about it over MSN. Heck, i'll do it anyways.
