I liked PJ's glory-seeking admission.
Rendered most of the rest of us hypocrites...I definitely want glory...

I liked PJ's glory-seeking admission. Rendered most of the rest of us hypocrites...I definitely want glory... Indeed. It would be nice if someone else was the sneaky, arrogant one for a change. HINT. But yeah, nice one. I can see were you are headed....and I think I know what happened.

I can see were you are headed....and I think I know what happened. That's good, considering you helped me plan it.

It's been a month. *shame*
Anyway-
Sixth Installment
No one noticed the small group of friends as they stood in disbelief, staring at their home. It would have been hard for someone to notice them though. Their clothes were tattered and they had enough dirt on them so they just blended in with the background. Even if they could have seen them, the people running around seemed to have more important things on their minds. Those with torches were focussed on finding something else to ruin and those screaming and shouting were too busy concentrating on finding a safe place to hide. It was a while before any of the seven could understand what they were watching, let alone find anything to say.
PJ made a small noise that could have been the start of a sentence. It could have just as easily been a whimper. He tried to speak again but found the words got stuck in his throat.
“I…err…um…-” He stammered
“What have they done to it?” Amber said, fighting back tears as she took in the ruined landscape.
“I want to know who did this.” Dante glowered
“We ought to be able to sort them out” PJ said, finding his voice, and his nerve.
Ennui rolled his eyes at PJ’s comment and saw that Dante and Akbar were doing the same.
“What are we going to do, though?” Amber asked
“Do we even have to do anything?” PJ muttered.
“Of course we do!” Antenora said in disbelief.
Akbar rolled his eyes again at PJ’s comment “It’s our home” He added.
“I didn’t mean it” PJ said
“Yes you did” Akbar snapped
“How do you know?” PJ snapped back at him.
“My Gods…”Dante whispered
“Anyone would think he’d been hit over the head with a large blunt object.” Ennui mumbled back at him.
“I wouldn’t blame anyone for doing just that” Dante said and they glanced at each other and smiled.
PJ heard them and glared in their direction, he hadn’t heard what they had said but he knew they were muttering about him.
They gathered in a little circle, on the edge of the destruction and decided what to do next. They were all going to go home and change. They would meet up in four hours by the Feedback area. They lived in a huge castle that they had made out of their combined post counts, and hey quickly ran home. Well, they didn’t run at all. PJ teleported and took them with him, one by one. Derik used a moderator link. When it got to Akbar’s turn to be teleported he asked PJ
“Why didn’t we just teleport down the mountain?”
PJ looked around and then “Shushed” him, he then grabbed Akbar by the left shoulder and teleported him home. Akbar regained his balance and started to ask again.
“Why didn’t-” He stopped, PJ had gone “Git” he finished.
Over in Amber’s and Ennui’s wing of the castle they were trying to make the cats forgive them for being away. It was rare to find people who were willing to go near a black panther, let alone keep it as a pet. But they did. But they weren’t like the people you hear about on the television. They made sure it was fed the best diet and it had the free roam of the island though it came back to prowl around the corridors at night.
“Oh come on” Amber said, stroking the panther’s fur.
“Please don’t sulk” Ennui said, walking through the grand doorway. The panther seemed to forget it was angry and bounded across the room to Ennui.
“He always liked you more” Amber said.
“He doesn’t like all the attention you give to Nazi”
“Oh.” She said. “Where is Nazi anyway? I haven’t see-” She cut off her sentence as she saw a small golden creature in the corner of the room. Its eyes were big and they gave the impression the creature was very upset. Amber ran to the corner and picked up the creature, which turned out to be a breathtakingly beautiful cat.
After comforting the cats they decided to change. They had reached the front door, both wearing bright pink, when Ennui said
“Don’t you think we should wear something a bit less conspicuous?”
“Oh, good point. Considering it’s all doom and gloom out there,” Amber said
Ten minutes later they were at the door again, this time wearing jeans and black shirts. On the way out of the door Amber picked up her trusty knife. Ennui backed away.
“Its okay” She said “I just thought I looked a bit too neat” She made a few cuts in her jeans and slashed her coat up the back.
“You?” She asked gesturing or him to take the knife. Ennui nodded and made similar cuts on his clothes.
“Okay now we look dishevelled enough to leave is there anything we need to take?” His eyes darted around the hall.
“Uhh. Weapons?” She suggested “But it’s not as if we need them, we are already pretty powerful”
“But we don’t know what that storm did to the rest of the island, they could all have wacky powers too” He replied. “I’ll take this sword” He said, climbing onto the mantelpiece and grabbing the sword above the fire.
“What else have we got?” Amber said taking her coat off to go into the loft. She scaled the dusty steps and opened the hatch leading into the dark roof space. She searched the nearest box and found nothing but a few old CD’s and unwanted gifts.
“Will this do?” Ennui called from the other side of the attic. He made her jump as she thought he was still in the hall. She turned and saw him holding up what looked like just a handle of a sword. It had a large ruby set into it and it was made of what looked like silver.
“But it’s just the handle; unless we have any blades around here I don’t see it being too useful.” She said.
“Don’t you recognize it?” He came closer and showed her the handle.
“I thought this was lost…” She said her voice was breathy as she turned it over and saw the Bowen family crest on the back. “But what happened to the blade?”
Ennui sighed. “I was up here one night, and I found it and thought you’d like it. As I was taking it down those stairs I tripped and the blade shattered. I took it to Derik and he told me about a new kind of blade. It’s so thin you can’t see it. But it’s razor sharp. I got him to fix that in place and engrave ‘Anwen’ above the ‘Bowen’. I was going to give it to you for your birthday but I think it may be more valuable now”
“Oh I love it.” She said and threw her arms around his neck. “We’d better get going” she said, we’ve been three and a half hours. Ennui jumped into action and they flew down the stairs and out of the front door. They boarded the nearest train and were on their way in less than five minutes.
“Ugh. It’s filthy” Amber said, she flat out refused to sit down and Ennui was wary of the seats. They made their way to a compartment that was empty except for a shady looking character who was offering to sell them small flamethrowers from inside an overcoat. They refused to give him any money and he stomped out of the compartment.
“This thing is so slow. “ Ennui moaned as he watched the scenery go past from the grimy window.
“It could do with a power boost” Amber smiled and closed her eyes.
She raised her hands up and made a pushing gesture with them. The train hurtled forwards and they were at The Antagonistic Affairs fortress within a few minutes.
“Gah I feel sick” Ennui said as he rushed off of the train. Amber set the power back to normal and rushed after him.
When they arrived at the Feedback area they found everyone else already there, waiting for them.
“Where’ve you been?” PJ demanded.
“We were starting to get worried.” Antenora soothed
“It took us a while to get sorted” Ennui answered. He noted that all of the others had done what he and Amber had done, by ruining their clothes.
“At least we are all here and safe” Akbar said.
For now

It is very well-written and good and stuff. (Sorry, I've got an awful cold; I can't think of any better comments than that right now.)

Excellent. I've in fact just been reminding my own cats who I am; I dragged them in to watch Extras with me last night...
