And just here as The End is, we do have a new administrator.
As it turns out, the actual purpose of the board 60023101 (The release date of Book The Thirteenth backwards) was to find a new administrator. A Charlie and the Chocolate Factory situation, in a sense. All Due Respect, a member since December of 2004 but only an active poster since September of 2006, has won the competition by figuring out the password of the no longer mysterious board.
The rewards of winning were having the final decision of the debate on karma, having one thousand posts added to her post count, and, of course, becoming the administrator of the entire forum. I still wonder, though, will those responsible for the repeated smiting of Dupin, PJ, and Akbar be named? Because All Due Respect has chosen the second option, (keeping karma, or in this case, returning karma, and having the names of the people responsible named and punished) when, and will, we know who was responsible for the smiting?
The effects of All Due Respect becoming the administrator were immediate and obvious. Snicketface, who has been grounded for quite some time now and has been unable to do her job as moderator of GG, was replaced promptly after All Due Respect was named admin. She was replaced by Triangle Eyes, who simply asked for the job and received it. I think it would be beneficial to remind All Due Respect of the Administrative Decrees, specifically #5. (Again)
If any moderator or global moderator fails to perform duties for 10 days or more without a previously specified reason, he or she will be removed from the moderator's list. This is in accordance with 667 Dark Avenue Administrative Decree #5.
As SnicketFace did indeed notify all of 667 that she would not be able to do her job for a certain amount of time, she should not, according to the rules, be replaced. Many do believe there should be a temporary moderator, but Snicketface should not be removed from her job because of uncontrollable circumstances. Even though All Due Respect has been notified, she still has removed Snicketface from the list of moderators under GG.
All Due Respect has told us of what the password was when she got into the board - The Little Snicket Lad. For a period of time on Friday, the 20th, there was no password required, but then it went back to being The Little Snicket Lad.
All Due Respect has -6 karma now, likely because of displays of these hastened acts of authority and other things, such as not reading the rules in DD and denouncing one of the threads in the above-mentioned board as “*cough*inappropriate*cough*”. I remember All Due Respect stating that “As usual you [Antenora] are proving your self as one of the best dutyful[sic] moderators.” When Nora was agreeing with All Due Respect, all was fine and dandy, but when Antenora is doing her job in DD, by letting a thread that is talking about a serious subject in a serious manner, ADR has to come in to say that it is inappropriate.
It is rather ironic that the board that we at first thought was just a glitch is only now understood to be a board of utmost importance.
The mysteries of 60023101 are on the table now, for all to see.

1. First off, could you explain exactly how you found out the secret of 60023101, and when exactly you became an admin?
For a long time I was as lost as all of you! And also I only came back a bit after the 60023101 started. Then one day I logged on and saw the cccde... thing as the new description for the secret section and I realized: wait a second! Those are musical notes. So I played them on the piano and realized it was Row Row Row your boat, or, in Snicket terms, The Little Snicket Lad! I tried the password and voila. I was in. I could barely believe my eyes. This all happened on the 11th of October I think.
So I on the 11th gained 1000 posts. Then on the 12th I was given the decision whether to have karma or not. Finally on the 13th, Tragedy transferred administraship[sic] to me. What a symbolic date!
2. What changes do you have in mind for the forum? Are there any issues which you feel need to addressed sooner rather than later?
Well, definitely the staff needs to be modified a bit as some people aren't pulling their weight. Expect to see some changes in the sections; some might be deleted or added. I will also change the design, but that is not so urgent because it’s fine how it is. Maybe the rules will be changed, but first I need to study the current ones very carefully.
3. Are you happy with the current administration - mods, gmods, DDs et al?
See answer 2.
4. Okay, now that we're done with some 667-based questions, tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Emily, I'm 14, and I'm in 9th grade. I play lacrosse and soccer, I love to read and write and I, of course, love Lemony Snicket's books! I'm also half Chinese but people who know me sometimes say they would never guess!
5. This question is one which I know everyone has been thinking about. Is Tragedy stepping down in favour of you?
I think you can already see that he has! He never really [has] a straight answer when I asked but now it says Founder in his profile and he forwards all requests to me so I assume I'm #1 now Also, he never argues with me and only answers questions. He always replies with things like "The decision is yours" or "That is no longer my choice to make." Very mysterious and alarming, but it gives me confidence at the same time!
6. Your recent move to make TE mod of GGreetings caused quite a stir in FFeedback. Give us your opinion. Do you feel this sort of argument could happen again, and what are you doing to try to make people trust you?
Well, obviously I have already had to put up with some whiners, but that’s to be expected. I guess some people [are] just never satisfied! I will do what I think is right because that is what it means to be a strong leader.
7. Tragedy has ruled for all of 667's history. How do you think you'll match up to his reign and record? In short, do you think you're here for the long haul?
As far as I'm concerned, I'm the future of 667 permanently. He was a great person to found and lead this forum but his time has passed and he is growing up now at his college, Stanford University, so I can understand that he has no time for this anymore and I am honoured he has passed his creation on to me. I will protect the greatness I promise!
8. Tell us about what you've seen of 667's history, during your duration as a member.
I was here one year ago for a short duration. I contributed the banner you see at the top of the forum but my posting contributions were really nothing, I'm sorry to say. I came back for The End, to read theories. I'm glad I came back!
9. What are your favourite sections on 667, and which sections do you think are in need of improvement?
Of course I love all of the Book sections - so much fun to read. But also Menacing Miscellaneous is great for small chit chat. I see Lord of the Rings as an unnecessary section and other places too might get cut down to make the forum neater. Keep an eye out!
10. Finally, is there anything you'd like to tell all the 667ers reading this?
I feel blessed to be the one who figured out the password and I never dreamed wthe reward would be so great! I feel like Neo or some other kind of Chosen One. But now it is my duty and burden to run this forum and I hope you will all cooperate and we can make it better together!

[THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS]
Finished
by Sixteen
"The End is here": A phrase that's been built towards for months and it has finally come true. The End is here and we're finished. I'm going to look back at the article I wrote before we got the book and do a kind of revised edition.
Okay, so I was right about an island and a shipwreck, but that's no surprise.
I was right to have my doubts about the FFP. They didn't show up.
There was a brae for sure, but no brae-man (at least not a Snicket anyway).
Our "two called Beatrice" message was upheld.
We absolutely had dystopian utopians.
"The fruit must play a big part"; well it did. And the seaweed wig was used.
"How can you finish an internationally-fanatical series of thirteen books in a way that pleases everyone? How can you answer all their questions? How can you give a sense of closure? My answer is that you can't." I was right. We didn't have all our questions answered, and closure is one of the furthest words I can think of that describes the end of The End. That said, I loved the ending. I thought it was fantastic, but there seem to be a lot of people out there who simply wanted answers and an end. My advice is that they read the book again and see that the point was that we can never know all the answers because there is no such thing as "all the answers".
The last word was Beatrice.
We had prominent deaths.
My "island is an afterlife" theory didn't hold up although I wasn't really expecting it to.
And as for what I said about our future as 667, we're still alright.
There's a thread in BB called "Let's Try To Answer Every Unanswered Question". I like this idea, even after what I've said about getting all the answers. It's a nice way for us to share our speculations in all aspects of ambiguity in the series, of which there are many. All the posts in that thread have been thought out well.
The Question-mark Thing is causing a lot of hassle for some people. The fact that it can just show up and swallow some of our favourite characters is shocking to them. But try to understand that the Question-mark Thing is a metaphor. Lemony calls it The Great Unknown; the representative of all our unanswered questions. It's fitting that It swallowed the Quags and Co. because they were one of the biggest unanswered questions. It was put in there so that everyone can have their own beliefs on what happened to them.
The sugarbowl. That's an even more controversial subject than the Big Q. We were hinted towards its contents. An antidote to the Mycelium. But - and I can understand this - that doesn't satisfy everybody. It has become another inconsistency which we have to deal with. I've said that I believe it contains applesauce, but how does this tie in with what was said on top of Mount Fraught (that it was the last piece of evidence against Olaf)? I don't know. But that's why 667 will never die.

------------------------------------------------------------------
After a great deal of waiting, theorizing, and speculating, The End has finally arrived. Actually, it arrived more than a week ago, time enough for most of the population of 667 to read the book. From a poll of 24, two-thirds had completed it, and most of those who hadn’t were in the process of reading or had plans to get it as soon as possible.
Many 667ers have been waiting years for this book, and had built up high expectations. And though Handler warned readers in a TIME magazine interview that there would be “nothing but unpleasantness and frustration for those foolhardy enough to read all the books”, fans have continued to be hopeful. After all, Handler’s always said that about his books. So now that it’s finally arrived, what do 667ers think of the book? Did it measure up to their expectations? Well, it’s hard to tell. There seem to be as many different opinions of the book as there are people.
First of all, there were those who were disappointed with the book. Brownie felt let down, and many, such as Zavi and CountOlaf, wanted more questions answered. Jacob4000 said his reaction to the book was “utter disappointment”. He says “What made me dislike it wasn't just a notable lack of answers. It was a very bland and poorly described atmosphere.” J. wanted closure, and others such as All Due Respect are simply sad that the series is over.
There were also some that were having trouble deciding whether or not they liked the book. Shocker sums it up rather simply by saying “I thought it was pretty good but pretty bad too.” Woefulcambria simply cried. And Sora says: “It was inventive and the best in terms of Lemony's style, but lacked in substance that was helpful to the mysteries we wanted solved. Overall I was pleased but was [also] mildly disappointed.”
On the other hand, some 667ers have had nothing but praise for the book. Says Alice: “It was one of the most fantastic things I've ever read. Restored into me a hope the likes of which I've never felt. I loved it.” PJ thinks one of the scenes in the book is the best part in the entire series. Kate says “All in all, I think it was wrapped up nicely, and the ending fit very well.” Jenny described it as “brilliant”. And Kyle said, in reaction to the book, that he felt “immense sadness to the point of tears but not quite to the point of actual crying. And I thought it was a perfect ending, I couldn't be more content with how it ended.”
So now, the series thick with ambiguity and uncertainty has left us, the readers, as indecisive as its characters. And it’s not over yet; many, including our editor, have been unable to read the book yet. If you’re one of those who have not yet read the book, don’t prejudge it. You may be disappointed, but then again you may be astounded beyond your wildest expectations. And, whether you like the ending or not, it’ll certainly be a memorable experience.
