It certainly sounds interesting. Just don't take too long writing it.

Grrr. And Dupin, you're role is pretty central. As for the others....I'll see what I can do. You might be part of some last minute offensive, or something.

Whee! And A., my choice of variable names was not the best. Pretend I used x and y or something. You're not a really cool member.

Regicide
Part One
Prologue – Execution
“What do you want with me?” She demanded, straining against the manacles that held her. “I require nothing of you, save that you be quiet.” “I’m afraid that I can’t do that, “Then, Snicketfires, I will have to kill you. I hope you understand.” “I understand perfectly. Tragedy may be lax, but at least he doesn’t kill people.” She spat, awaiting her death.
“Some people have to die in order for the kingdom to be safe. You are such a casualty. I’m sorry that I have to do this - you have served me faithfully - but it must be. I will not keep hold you here, for that would be inhumane. This is the only feasible option” “And chaining me to a chair in the dungeons isn’t inhumane? Killing me isn’t? You should be the one in the chair, Dante, not I.”
There was a moment of silence. Then Kelsea spoke once again. “Your little plot won’t work, you know. Something will happen, something unexpected, and it will be your downfall. And I hope that my death will remain in your conscience, for as long as you live. You have sent an innocent person to their death.”
“Do you have any last words?” He finally asked, his voice unquavering. “I do.” Kelsea said, sighing loudly. “I curse you, Dante, just as I curse your traitorous friends. You WILL fail, Dante. You will die alone, and all the death and destruction you will have wrought will be for nothing.” “Goodbye, Snicketfires.” Dante said, stepping out of the shadows. “For your faithful service in the past, I will make it quick and painless.” He put his hand on her temple, and sent a tiny spark into the direct centre of her brain, killing her instantly. Then he cast a larger flame upon her, which slowly consumed her body, leaving nothing but a pile of ash on the chair.
He turned and left the dungeon. It had to be done. Snicketfires had over-heard an incriminating conversation, and had to be taken care of. Nothing must intervene with the wellbeing of 667 Dark Avenue. He would do what he must, even if it killed him, to remove the weak and lazy king from the throne, and thereby lift the stagnation that currently threatened 667.

*is blinded by brilliance of story*
No, really, this is the best prologue I've ever read for a 667 story. *applause*

Pandora is a mod. And an old member. Does she have a role?

Ooh, wonderful Prologue. And the "Allegiances" thing at the bottom: is the list going to grow with each successive update?

Interesting. And creepy. Can't wait for the next chapters. Pandora is a mod. And an old member. Does she have a role? Indeed. You own the biggest army in the entire kingdom. Ooh, wonderful Prologue. And the "Allegiances" thing at the bottom: is the list going to grow with each successive update? Yep. Though next chapter won't update that; it basically just describes the entire kingdom.

Chapter One - Introductions
The Great Land of 667 Dark Avenue is roughly divided into two sectors; the North and the South. The entire Nation is like an enormous peninsula; it is a huge bar of land that is surrounded on three sides by the treacherous Net-Sea, and, although tales of distant lands beyond the Sea have circulated, there has yet to be a ship that has returned the long and arduous journey across the vast ocean.
The fourth side, the one that isn’t surrounded by Sea, is the Northern side. This land is known as N00bannis. And as these are infested by n00bs, spammers, trolls and other such horrible creatures, little is known about anything beyond the frosty peaks that characterize the wild lands of the north.
667 Dark Avenue, technically, is ruled by Tragedy, though in all but name Dante, Duke of the Burdensome Border, is the ruler of the Northlands. There are ten forts spread evenly out along the Border, which prevents the n00bs beyond from invading. These are all manned by hardened veterans, and all answer to Duke Dante, who does a marvelous job of keeping the treacherous n00bs out of 667.
Although the Border Forts, as they are called, do an excellent job of keeping the denizens of N00bannis out of 667, they are by no means the last defense. Southward of the Border, the two duchies of Dupin and Gigi stand. Duke Dupin is the leader of the three cities dedicated to the Arts, whilst Duchess Gigi is the ruler over the three cities dedicated to Merchants.
All the most famous writers and painters dwell in Forsaken Forts of Dupin’s realm, and, although it is a centre of creativity, it is not unschooled in the Art of War; if any n00bs manage to pass the Border Forts, then it is the job of Dupin and Gigi to stop them before they reach the more heart of 667 in the Southlands.
Gigi’s three cities, the Malignant Merchants, as they are known, contain the greatest markets in the entire realm of 667. It is said that if you want something, it can be found in the Malignant Merchants, and at a cheap price, too. And, like Dupin, the three cities are well-defended, and are capable of repelling any N00bannis denizens easily.
These three Duchies are all part of the Northlands, and the three Rulers, Dante, Dupin and Gigi, are all on good terms with one another, and communicate regularly, so that any really cool member-Threat is quickly dealt with.
South of these cities, are the more peaceful, and, some would say, more civilized parts of 667. The Reckless Residency is the next duchy along, and is led by the Duchess Pandora. These four large cities contain the bulk of 667’s populace, and, therefore, they take up a lot of space. The Reckless Residency is also known for its minstrels, bards and entertainers. In fact, one could almost say that just as the duchies North specialize in War, so does Pandora’s Realm specialize in entertainment. All the newest fashions and dances and songs come from this duchy.
South of the Reckless Residency, near the coast, is the great Capital of 667; Menacing Miscellaneous, which is the heart of 667 Dark Avenue. It is divided into four differently shaped quadrants; the smallest of which is the Administrative Office, or the Bureaucratic Quadrant, which handles all the day-to-day affairs of the nation. In short, it is the home of bureaucrats, accountants, bankers, politicians and so on. This Quadrant is divided into three parts. One is run by King Tragedy himself, for it deals with the most important decisions, the ones that effect the entire kingdom. The smaller, less-important part is run by Duchess Antenora, who handles all of the easier affairs of the City itself, and the country surrounding it. And, finally, we have the Foreign Department, run by the Duchess Snicketface, which handles all the foreign trade and tourism with the other kingdoms that can only be accessed through the use of magic.
The next Quadrant, the high-brow rich area of the City, known as the Intelecteers Quadrant, is also run by the Duchess Antenora, and is where the higher classes of Menacing Miscellaneous reside; it is a place of discussion and politics, filled with the games the powerful play in order to gain more power.
The largest Quadrant, the so-called Poor Quarter, is filled with all those not well enough off to be in the Intelecteers’ Quadrant. In other words, the poor, and the mildly wealthy. This Quadrant is a mish-mash of shops, inns, brothels and all other such places. This is where the masses live.
And, finally, we come to the Palace, which is a small quadrant, though it is larger than the Administrative one. This is where King Tragedy, lord of 667 Dark Avenue, resides. It is a large building, formerly a keep, filled with nobles, servants, guards, and a king.
And this almost concludes my brief summary of the great nation that is 667 Dark Avenue, although I have purposely neglected to mention one place: The Library. This place was almost right between what was called the Northlands and the Southlands, and is considered to be a no-man’s land. That means, it was neither of the Northland or the Southlands.
The Library contained, as the name suggests, an enormous library, the largest to date in all of 667 Dark Avenue. But it is not just a library. It is also a University, a place of learning, where new technologies are discovered, and where new inventions are made.
Strictly speaking, the Library was Tragedy’s domain, although he almost never went there, preferring to leave the organising of the University to other, more capable beings. One such a being was the rich member known as PJ. And, although PJ wasn’t officially a noble, he was well-connected with several prominent members of 667 Dark Avenue, and he ruled the Library in all but name; he himself had studied at the University, and had written several important thesis’s and papers which he proudly displayed at every given opportunity. And, as Tragedy had, simply put, abandoned the place, he had eagerly had grasped the reigns of power, and was Head of the Library.
It is at this comparatively tiny part of 667 Dark Avenue that our story begins, and it begins with the Library’s unofficial leader, PJ.
