I'll admit there are some people smart enough to understand science and the big bang and all that stuff and therefore have enough insight and knowledge to be an atheist.
But let's face it, you're not one of them.
Why?
Because you're a humanities student with an arts degree. Let's not play any games here, if I came over to your house right now and ask you to explain exactly why the Big Bang theory is more rational than Genesis, you wouldn't be able to even stutter out a semblance of an answer.
So where do you get off sniggering at Christians like they're stupid, and you have some amazing insight.
Sure you bought a copy of Stephen Hawkings 'A Brief History of Time', but I think if you waddle over to your bookshelf you'll see that the bookmark is exactly where you left it nine years ago.
On page three.
Face it, you're too stupid to be an atheist.
Until next time, go to hell.

J: since when do we have to pass an exam to be allowed to be Atheist? What, are we supposed to be religious or Agnostics until we know all about the universe with facts? Anyway, why doesn't it apply to people with religion, who don't know crap about their religion? "What religion are you?" "Jewish." "What holiday's coming up?" "Hanukah?" "Wrong. Rosh Hashanah." "Dude, that's not a Jewish holiday. That's a Muslim holiday."

Kobo knows a lot more about christianity than many christians here.(edit: there was sposed to more to this paragraph, i just know it, but i forgot what it was) i guess it's fine to be atheist, (non?)belive in all that, but like being a christian (or something else) it would help alot if you understood what it is you are beleiveing

Since I'm not a humanities student with an art degree, I can be an atheist just happily.

I use to totally not believe in anything at all about that, but now I do believe in god, and adam and eve, but not ALL of the stories in the bible. And i have to admit, I never listened much in religion classes, so I wouldn't know more then 4 stories in there. I don't totally diss christians, I just think that some of their 'mumbo-jumbo' is a bit over the top. But everyone has their own opinion. I for instance do believe that I have a guardian angel and that there is a god, but I don't believe that god/jesus 'healed' blind people and that sort of thing. I believe that the bible, if you read a few sections of it, can be useful when you're having trouble with friends or at home and it teaches us to love ourselves and respect others, etc. There are both positive and negative things about christianity, in my opinion anyway, as there is in all religions. but one thing I can't stand about christians, not trying to offend anyone here, but alot of them are so into 'forgiveness'. Sure, there are when you should just get over it and move on, but I don't see how some people can forgive others so easily.

What Tyler said. It's an okay story, though. Killing God's son makes a nice twist.
I've only read Revelation (because that is actually interesting, and I love crazy end-of-world stuff), the section about the Tower of Babel (which was about one paragraph, if I recall), and part of Exodus to confirm this quote:
"Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour."
- Exodus 32:27 - The Bible
