When you reject him. When you say "I don't like God" this is pushing him away, rejecting his offer of love. Dude, I'm dating someone else right noiw. Anyway, God's too high maiuntanence. I'm just not reafy for that kind of commitment./ [pause] C: ...Uh....let's just go with Bsam's hilarious mockery.

I never informed you that you were going to hell. While I may have my suspicions, I am not God and I'm in no place to start condemning people; after all, I'm certainly not a shoo-in for heaven. And no, I don't believe in other Gods: monotheism, people.

I believe that every god ever believed in or imagined exists in some alternate universe, but the gods have the power to influence our universe with their thoughts. This implies that we are the gods of another universe, creating and controlling another world whenever we imagine something. You-plural probably think that's a bit odd, but it's my sort of belief, I suppose.

just cause you don't beleive in them don't mean they don't exist i don't beleive in any yet it's just as possible for yours to exist as it is everyone elses... Now it all gets down to your point of view. I have looked at the facts and decided that it is logical, probable, and certain that God, and no other God, exists. If you choose to look at the facts and reach a different conclusion, then that if your opinion. To me, it is not possible for another religion to be correct. In my mind, that is not logical, probable, or correct.

C: I believe that if you're a good Christain boy or girl all year, Jesus will come and give you 72 virgins, divided amongst the 8 days of Hanukah. But if you're bad, then God himself will ride down on his unicorn and electrocute you with thunderbolts. Oh, wait. Got my mythology mixed up.

That's anothe rintersting facet of religion... Assuming! that there are two religions who believe as Redwine does, that there is only one god, and that this god is completely differnt for each religion...
Who's right?
It's now a matter of sheer point of view, which makes it undebatable, as facts no longer come into the equation.
Second, to paraphrase some quote I don't remember verbatim, Any religion that follows three gods and calls itself monotheistic is seriously messed up...
Not, however, that I completely agree with that, nor am I mocking your beliefs. I never would-I attend church every sunday, sing in the choir, and attend our version of sunday school for teens.

if you are a christian, then you are committed to one god. if you're into budism, then you're committed to budah, etc etc. i'm not a 'full' christian, as i believe , but i don't actually pray, attend church, read the bible or actually think about god at all to be honest, but i've been influenced by separate factors (friends, family etc.) to believe in the christianity god. but i'm not wholly committed to that religion, or any religion really. i believe there are other gods, but that's just my oppinion. just because someone believes in something other than what you believe in, that's not a reason to hate or comment on them. so what? we all have different religions, so deal with it, it doesn't matter what everyone else believes in, it's what you believe in. (but it's still fun to argue about i suppose. lol)

I always respect the right of others to believe differently then me. The only reason I debate is because here, it's fun. The people are intelligent and it's kinda what we're here to do.
And now I shall attempt to explain the Holy Trinity: It is one God in three parts, much as one woman can be a mother, wife, and daughter all at the same time. These are three very different roles, but that doesn't make her three different people. There is God the Father, the creator of all and God of the Old Testemant. Then there is God the Son, Jesus, the God-become-mortal who came to earth to save us from our sin. Then there is the Holy Spirit, the power of God working inside us. Make sense now? Three parts, but monotheistic.

yeah, makes sense. you know, one thing i've never understood is the whole jesus thing. is he meant to be gods son or god himself? Again, a complicated matter. Jesus is God's Son, and yet a part of God himself. He is one of the "roles" of God, but his relationship to the Father role is Son....I know that's really confusing, but the best I can do. With religion, nothing tends to be too simple.
