Oh yea, and if you can't keep your baby, adopt it.

Oh yea, and if you can't keep your baby, adopt it. I assume you mean put the baby up for adoption.

I'm pro-adoption, but am firmly against abortion.
It's true what some abortion believers say, that no one can really prove that human life begins at conception. However, what no one seems to realize is that that also means that you can not prove that it does not.
If I was driving and saw a bag that is moving (it has something alive in it) in the middle of the road, what could you do? Remember, you don't know what is in the box, it could be a dog, it could be a squirrel, it could even be a pack of mice. But it could ALSO be an abandoned child. You could run over it, but would you really want to risk killing a child?
Remember, you always want to error on the side of caution, not the side of risk. In otherwords, better be safe than sorry. (Corny I know)

That's a really interesting point of view. I can't say I ever thought of it that way. But I agree with it. Bravo.

Well first of all...why should you be having sex if you don't want a kid?? Second of all, why the heck would you wanna murder your unborn baby who hasn't had a chance to live at all?? I think that is just cruel! It's bascially murdering your baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1. Rape? Defective condom or pill? People have sex for pleasure, oh wee innocent one. 2. ...Because you don't think it's murder and you feel life would be worse than death?

1. Both, I don't care. And yes, I KNOW that people have sex for pleasure, no doubt about that. 2. Well, how would you feel?

1. Both you don't care what? 2. I feel it would be a mercy kill. I don't look at abortion as murder, anyway. I don't have to worry about getting pregnant for numerous reasons, anyway...but I'd adopt, anyway.

1. I don't care if it's both or not. 2. I do think of it as a murder, but all of us have opinions.

Here in Nevada you can get an outpatient abortion up to 25 weeks (technically the age of viability) and a hospital abortion after that. And yeah, you can get pregnant from rape. It's extremely rare, but it happens. I'm not for abortion really, (IE, I wouldn't have one myself) but I am for keeping it legal. I really lean more towards "pro life" perhaps because my sister was adopted, and came literally this close to being aborted...her birth mother was on the table when she saw the ultrasound and changed her mind. As for can a fetus feel pain "The short answer is yes. At some stage during pregnancy, a fetus becomes capable of feeling pain. But, there appears to be no consensus among experts about the point in the pregnancy when this happens. The issue of fetal pain was addressed by a working group appointed by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in the United Kingdom. The panel consisted of experts in fetal development, law and bioethics. Dr. Anne McLaren headed the group. She commented: "Fetal awareness of pain is a very emotive topic, of particular concern to pregnant women, but we have tried to approach it without preconceptions, to examine the scientific evidence dispassionately, and to identify areas where further research is urgently needed.'' 1 The group determined that pain can only be felt by a fetus after nerve connections became established between two parts of its brain: the cortex and the thalamus. This happens about 26 weeks from conception. Professor Maria Fitzgerald of University College London, author of the working group's report, says that "little sensory input" reaches the brain of the developing fetus before 26 weeks. "Therefore reactions to noxious stimuli cannot be interpreted as feeling or perceiving pain." They recommended that the administration of painkillers should be considered before an abortion for any fetus which is 24 or more weeks since conception. This would give a 2 week safety factor in case the date of conception is incorrectly calculated. "- religioustolerance.org In short, yes, but nobody is sure when or how much. I know my cousin's baby can feel (If you press down on her belly he will hurry away, if you tapp above him he will kick you) but that may just be because she is almost 26 weeks along. So, shrug.

I haven't been reading page four but I had a revelation just a few minutes ago.
My mom and I were talking about kids and our family and stuff and it was revealed that my mom had an abortion after having me and my brother, who were both born via C-section due to immense scarring in my mother's uterus/dishwasher. She said she had an abortion because it would have killed her if she had had the baby, since her uterus was pre-cancer to begin with.

I wouldn't be against that then, since it did endanger her life. She had good reason.
Abortion is so final...who knows what that person could have done in their lifetime, had it not been unfairly ended? People ask why God doesn't send a cure for cancer and such, and think: Perhaps he did, but we aborted the person who would have one day discovered it? Food for thought.

But doesn't that child deserve a chance to live? I mean, I'm sure you've made people unhappy before, but do you deserve to have your life terminated?
