You have to comrpomise freedom to get safety, and you have to comrpomise safety to get freedom. There's no happy medium grey area in my polls because everyone woyuld flock to it.

Freedom. Give me a good life, rather than a long one.

I'd choose freedom--and if I had freedom, I'd feel safer, safer from my government spying on me.

It's a big compromise to make. In order to gain freedom, you may have to give up safety, and vise versa. I chose freedom, because ultimately I think I'd want to be free and have the freedom to do what I want, but in certain situations I'd prefer safety. eg, if I had a family, I'd choose safety, because it's not just me I'm thinking for then, I'd have a whole family to watch out for, and if I was in a winess protection scheme, I'd want freedom sure, I'd want my life back, but I'd want to have the chance to be safe and stay safe, even if it means denying myself freedom.

Freedom, obviously. If you give that up, then your enemies have won, really.

what if we're not talking about enemies? what if it's just say, living in the forest or something? you may want to move to the forest and be free, but you'll want safety living there too wouldn't you?
(i know, strange example, but it could happen)

Freedom for some profound reason that I'm not thinking of right now.

It depends in what sense. General ability to cross the street without blowing up?
Lack of safety to that extent really limits your freedom, and the two usually go hand in hand. I wouldn't want to be living somewhere where I was always afraid I'd die the next day and couldn't go outside of else I'd be gunned down or something. Taking away safety is just limiting freedom.
Or do you mean like, "well, if we go to war with such and such a country, it'll make us more SAFE"? Because I'd much rather have freedom than have extra safety precautions taken in that sense.
But if safety's in terms of military opression, then it really doesn't do anything for you if you're "free" but you can't step outside, eh?
All depends what you mean, see?

yea i get it. so u mean it all depends on the situation? it's hard to choose, cause i'd want 2 be safe, but i'd want my freedom too. but safety is more important i think.

Without freedom, we are just useless blobs of fat piled on walking sticks.

If you didn't notice, I changed it. I apparently did notice. I corrected it.
