freedom, but if it's saftey like "oh, you can stay here, and eat here, and bathe here, and nothing would ever harm you at all......." well, i'd choose saftey. Oh well, i didn't vote. i'm not very good with decisions.

Thats not the point. If freedom lead to more killers, you'll be sorry, so I'de rather be safe than sorry. Get it? If Big Brother installed camera in your bathroom, you'd be sorry.

And the chances of me caring afterward are nil. As a note, not tyring to be mean, but no "e" in "I'd." It's a contraction of "I Would".

Hey Soi, did you care when those two planes hit the trade centers? Would you care if thousands, possible millions of people died? 'cause you wanted no one to spy on suspicius (sp?) people? I would hope the answer would be no.

I would hope the answer would be no. as far as i know Bush and friends were already doing their best to spy on suspicious people and all that sort of business if they could have stopped the twin towers attack the american government would have stopped it wouldn't they? spying on a ew more innocnet americans would have made no diference at all

I voted freedom but i was re thinking and i decieded that if you had a world where you acn do whatever you want it would be good becuase you could have tons of fun doing things that you cant do at the moment. But aswell as you having a great time doing things that you think are fine, they are obviously being stopped for a reason if you undertand. Like in a world where you can do anything, you can go skiing in a blocked off mountainus area but it would of been blocked off for the reason it was dangerous so you would end up hurting yourself. Also you could be doing things that arent that bad but some other people would take advantage of what they have and vandalise and kill people so in the end, everything would be ruined so what we be the point of having freedom?

Well, that wasn't funny nor good grammar. Truth hurts. And second, spying on suspicisous people is fine. When it degrades into racism and christian superiority then I have a problem with it.

I agree, but most of the terrorist are middle east people. And you're right, we shouldn't just look for middle eastern people, or religous people.

I agree. In a perfect world, it could work, but not in this world I believe that freedom, to a certain extent is good, but if we give too much freedom, we're giving people rights to break laws, decieve, maybe hurt themselves, endanger others etc. Everyone has their rights, but if we go beyond our rights, and maybe harm others, then our freedom is taken away, and, true we still have rights then, but not many. and if that's the case, them people deserve it. (that might be a tiny, tiny bit off subject. sorry) with safety, we're secure and we know our friends and families are secure too. for example, i feel alot safer knowing that dangerous criminals are locked up, not hurting anyone, and i feel safe knowing that their are people i can trust.

I think that some of us are thinking of a far too extreme version of freedom. If you let criminals run amok and do as they please, that's not freedom - that's chaos. There's a difference.
