Nice to know that there is a reply, though.

Interesting too is the circular nature of the reply: If you have a question, go to LSATWQ.com, which, of course, only sends you more questions.

I'll try to reply to the e-mails if I have the time.

On which note, it looks very much as if there will be no e-mail this week - the first week since the beginning of the promotion without one. We've speculated before that they might slow down at one point, and while this seems like an odd time to do so, maybe that's happening - they're moving into a different gear for a while, spacing out e-mails a bit more, in preparation for whatever their next phase is (the full website opening, perhaps?). Or maybe they'll send one on Monday, although they've never done that before, either. We shall just have to wait and see. Anyone else have any thoughts?

It seems like a new phase is opening up, yes. I would hope we see a website soon. The last email did seem a bit like they were opening it up for a new cycle, and something different from the last question emails. I hope we won't see too long of a gap between this, though.

I think it's a bit too early for a website - well, a website with proper content - since that would mean updating the page for months on end. On the other hand, "It's for thee" is a somewhat odd stopping point. Or is it? Building up questions and ending with a single answer, or statement, at least, could indicate the start of more statements or another round of questions.

It's been about two weeks since "It's For Thee", so the promotions, or at least one round of them, has probably ended. There's no sign of a website either. We shall have to look elsewhere to quench our curiosity.

My theory is that they're just spacing out the e-mails slightly more at present, so there's a possibility we'll get one today - but we're back into the realms of unpredictability, it's true.

I highly doubt we'll get one today, as there's never been one on a Monday. If they decided to space out the promotions we'd probably get one per fortnight, or one per month, but I hope it's the former.

If so, they'd better be a little less vague than the ones we've had so far.

Personally, I'm hoping for a couple of situations that show the relationship between Jacques, Kit and Lemony. This is something I'd really like to read about because the only thing we really have is the letter from Jacques to Lemony in UA. Although I would like this, I'm not hoping for much of it because from the details of VFD training we get from 'The Little Snicket Lad' and, indeed, the rest of UA, it seems contact between Lemony and his siblings was limited during VFD training.

I'm hoping that a few familiar faces will find their way into the story for one reason or another, but it's true that the situation doesn't seem to give them much reason. Although there's also plenty of room for Lemony to tell anecdotes about his siblings and other characters, as he's already done in just the first two chapters.

The callbacks in the first two chapters already surpass what I'd have expected from the prequel. Who's to say there won't be more surprises along the way?

This is probably just a coincidence, but I was examining one of the Count Olaf cards from the Perilous Parlor game and it read, "When a critic writes bad things about an actor, it is called using a poisoned pen, a word which here means, 'I have no talent, so I will make fun of yours.' However when Count Olaf replaces the ink in the Guardian's quill pen with toxic squid ink, even the sweetest words become deadly, and end up costing the Guardian three life points." You don't think the octopus ink is poisoned, do you? Used as a sort of 'literal yet figurative' weapon by VFD?

I think that would be a very obscure callback for Handler to make, and certainly I don't think it was anticipating the details of ATWQ at that time, a decade in advance. So he might end up making a callback to it, but it's also clear that Ink Inc. have made a lot of money out of their octopus ink, too. ...Also, squid and octopi aren't the same thing.
