What were the dates for: the 2009 Darkies Nominations began on the 5 April 2009. It began 27 Oct 2008, it ended 28 Sept, 2009. Jul 24, 2006 December 17, 2004 The store ended around January 2008. I don't know when it started though.

A few more things:
The Nameless Novel (promotion for TPP) – began June 2005, ended October 2005. Thirteen Shocking Secrets (promotion for The End)– appeared (or at least came to the notice of 667) March 2006.
Some notable stories 667 Dark Tournament, by Willis – begun March 2008, ended March 2009. Watt Really Happened, by Willis – begun March 2008, ended February 2010. Yet Another Series of Unfortunate Events, by Tiago Squalor – begun January 2010, ended March 2012.
These I think have been the most notable stories of my time here - hopefully others can find earlier ones of equal significance.
We ought to put in some things about the 5th anniversary in 2007 - which the 21 questions to DH were part of - though I'm finding it a bit hard to trace.
Odd ASOUE/Real-life Coincidence Thread (now the longest running thread on the site) begun October 28th 2004.
(Would it be a good idea to do the start of a a few other popular threads?)

I just finished putting in all the things people have posted, and updated the list of things that we still need to find dates for. Thanks for everyone's help.

We ought to put in some things about the 5th anniversary in 2007 - which the 21 questions to DH were part of - though I'm finding it a bit hard to trace. The answers to the Insidious Inquiries were received July 13, 2007, at least. Wouldn't that be the Feel Free to Post Whatever You Want thread? Odd Coincidence is the longest running BBooks thread, certainly. I should think so, if they come to mind; it's easy to omit things if they prove insignificant or the list gets crowded. It's not as easy to find them when there's not enough events for a date.

OARLCT is the longest-running (in time), though FFTPAYW is the longest (in number of posts).
Still, it makes sense to record that one too. Feel Free to Post Anything You Want, the longest thread on 667 in terms of number of posts, began July 12th 2006.
EDIT. And one other important event which should certainly be recorded.:
A link to 667 was added to Lemony Snicket's website - September 2007 (announced here September 12th, but presumably happened a bit earlier).
Sherry Ann - I see that the anniversary has been added to the timeline, I guess by someone who was there, but I agree DH's reply should be added as well.

Those last few dates have been added as well.
Just for fun, I went and added the number of entries per year. It's filling out nicely, though as you can see there are a couple of years that are a bit lacking; maybe I'll go with Sherry Ann's suggestion and put the hundred member milestones back in to the early years. 2002 - 2 2003 - 5 2004 - 9 2005 - 19 2006 - 29 2007 - 19 2008 - 20 2009 - 21 2010 - 20 2011 - 17 2012 - 9

OARLCT is the longest- running (in time), though FFTPAYW is the longest (in number of posts). Ah, I had taken "longest" to mean "most pages" and "running" to mean "still active." Oh, the complexity of language! If we get a link to LSATWQ.com before late June, that could also be a milestone for this year. Those last few dates have been added as well. Just for fun, I went and added the number of entries per year. Yes, thank you; that was one I was thinking of. Another notable story I can think of is Shelly's Series of Quiglet Events for the sheer length; I never read them but I think she wrote 200 of them.
What others do you guys think should be included? There are a huge amount of stories and we won't have room for them all, of course, but I'm looking for stories that are notable for being long, multi-chapter stories, influential to the forum, and usually (but not always) including members of 667 as characters. Dupin and PJ wrote a lot back in the day, and there were also a few collaborative stories written as well, but I'm not sure which are important enough to be included.

The earliest Cupid account I can find was created 4 Feb, 2004.
Tragedy posted the prologue of 667 Dark Apocalypse on the 27th of October, but Sixteen posted the first chapter on the 28th Oct, 2008.
Another date we could include would be the first promotion from LSATWQ.com, on the 29th of Feb, 2012.
Since we're putting the Feel Free To Post Whatever You Want Thread and the ASOUE/Real Life Coincidence Thread on the timeline, could we also have the Random Fact Thread? The longest running RFT was 505 pages and started on the 13th of February, 2005. It's archived though, so it may not be "eligible".
How about ADR's Revenge? The first chapter was posted by Alice on the 9th of Jan, 2007 and the last chapter was posted by BSam on the 2nd of Mar, 2007.
