The design of the timeline looks good so far Linda. Hopefully you request will be answered. Sora's registration date is actually a proboards glitch, according to this, he joined September 2003. How on earth did you find that? Using my intuitive tracking instinct. No, actually I lurked for about 6 months, during which I looked through a lot of threads and edition of the 667er in CCreativity.

Edit: I've been playing around with design and here's what I have so far. As you can see there's the problem of the line in the middle not being continuous and not being centered on lines that have other writing, but I've made a help request at the proboards support board and am waiting to see what they have to say. Are you trying to remove the lines that appear before and after the dates, like below? 2006 | October 15th, 2006 ADR is made admin. | 2007 Or did you want a line between them? Besides that, I think it looks organized and visually pleasing.

Are you going to have it as image or text format?

Are you going to have it as image or text format? A question to consider when deciding whether hyperlinks will be included, I imagine.

Besides that, I think it looks organized and visually pleasing. I wanted the vertical lines, I just didn't want there to be breaks in between lines except where the year breaks it. Though actually, the way you did it, you put the event in the very center, which gets rid of that problem altogether. I had figured out a way to center the vertical line so that events could be posted on both sides, but just putting it in the center might actually be better. The only downside is that with over 200 events, putting each event in the center would require 2 lines per event (one for the event and one for the space), whereas putting events on each side of the middle would only require one line per event. Though with longer phrases, the event runs to two lines anyway and messes with the line being centered, depending on how big your screen resolution is. I've put up several events in both styles, as well as shown examples of different fonts, colors, date formats, and hyperlinks here. Let me know what you think works best! Oh, and as for the support guys; I found someone who 2 years ago was working on a timeline (see his work here), but appears to have abandoned it and I think what I have works better for a text-based timeline than his anyway.

Oh, I see. Yes, I like your way better. That is, not the person's who made a timeline two years ago. I think I also prefer the events to the left and right of the vertical lines, as originally planned. Also, I know the timeline currently is a hodgepodge of formats, but I think in the final version it would be best to have a consistent style of writing dates (e.g., always D/M/Y or M/D/Y). The Verdana font size 2 looks good, but as for hyperlinks ... hm. On one hand, linking the events could provide easy and organized access for returning members wanting to look down memory lane. On the other hand, that would require a lot of extra formatting. Well, I say as long as we have them, why not? It could turn into one of those projects members link newcomers to for the next several years.

I made a mistake in the thread which I linked in this post. That wasn't the first published edition. It's Akbar conceiving the idea for the 667er. It'll be more accurate to say "14th Sep 2005 - The 667er is conceived." Ugh, sorry Linda. I can't find the first edition either. The earliest one I can find is Edition II.

Thanks muchly, Sixteen. I was thinking that we should put something about the 667 Reporter in. I've got to go now, though.

*not a doubletriple post* Another collaborative 667fic is Hogwarts: A 667 Story. Part One was posted by PJ on the 30th of July, 2005, and the ending was posted by J on the 2nd of September, 2005. Another (non-canon?) part was posted by J on the 4th of September, I don't know if that counts though.

Thanks muchly, Sixteen. I was thinking that we should put something about the 667 Reporter in. I've got to go now, though. Goofy deleted a lot of the file links, I'll check what I still have and try to replace what I can.
