However, as Sherry Ann and Dante have both said, hwo to stop it being to similar to the old one? Well, i have an idea - if you were invovled in the old re-read, then maybe they should not post to much in the new one. Not ban them entirely, because im sure many will want to add there own thoughts to this, but maybe they coudl just take a back seat. And so the Great Schism of 667 began... Seriously, though, it is a good idea, but it might be wiser to create an 'Connections between ASOUE and ATWQ' thread after the book has come out. Just sayin'.

If you want to organise your own reread without much involvement from previous rereaders, that's absolutely your prerogative, misterm. Go ahead.

I'm happy to take a back seat (and since Dante and I are the main people from the old reread who are still active - Sherry Ann joined us towards the end - that means it ought to be OK).

I am completely ready to take this on myself - if i can generate enough interest....

Perhaps, although I think it would be best to focus on comparing and finding references in ATWQ to ASoUE. It really depends on how much school work I have when it comes to whether I could participate actively or not.

I rather agree another ASOUE reread might not be the best option - the first was headed by some excellent readers, and I'm not sure we could compile another with enough original material for it to stand on its own. On the other hand, a reread simply for review purposes might not be a bad idea. Could we have a single thread, not as sophisticated as the first, but a place to share notes in chronological order and how they might appear in WCTBATH? I would take part in that, though the pace would have to be somewhat quick given the time period in which we're working.
When WCTBATH is released, we might consider two separate rereads: one for purely WCTBATH, and the other in relation to ASOUE. I'm sure people were thinking in these terms anyway, but it might help to develop a system sometime before October 23rd.

. Could we have a single thread, not as sophisticated as the first, but a place to share notes in chronological order and how they might appear in WCTBATH? That would make sense - it would be a bit like what Fredy did a while ago. Well,a readthrough of WCBATH at this point would hardly be a re-read.

Well,a readthrough of WCBATH at this point would hardly be a re-read. The WCTBATH reread wouldn't be immediate, though, just eventual ... oh, wait, I think I see what you mean: the point of the ASOUE Great Rereads were to link events in one book to others in the series, whereas WCTBATH is only the first in a series of four. Any "reread" would basically translate to "general discussion."

My idea is one thread, People would post their notes about each individusal book, and then spend a week talking about that book, then move on to the next. How in depth the disscusion is, will depend on how many new things can be found. But i dont want to post all my ideas yet - only when people seem interested enough.
But yeah. My Notes are pretty extensieve from the last time i read the books. about 200 pages.
