If you Google "domain lookup" or anything like that, you'll get a site you can plug URLs into. Although, it's strange; for the Hachette ones, I found a site quite easily which would show me all the others registered by the same company, but I can't find it now. It's most odd. Hm. I'm not getting results for either lemonysnicketbooks or allthewrongquestionsseries. I'll try plugging them into some other databases, and keep an eye out for that website, too.

By that database's account, lemonysnicketbooks.com and allthewrongquestionsseries.com were created first, with lsatwq.com following shortly after, and finally lemonysnicketlibrary.com most recently in March. This is perhaps significant as so far the websites have so far revealed in reverse order of creation. It's too early to expect a pattern, of course, and it's also a little different for the LSB and ATWQS websites as there was nothing on them to begin with, but it's something to be wary of, I think.

What that registration order indicates to me is that they weren't entirely sure of what web address they ultimately wanted to use. Interesting that they didn't think to nab AllTheWrongQuestions.com before Egmont, and maybe Egmont doing that spurred them to not use ATWQSeries for fear of confusion with their cross-oceanic partners.

Well I don't think anyone "nabbed" any site before the other one. If Egmont decided to make a site promoting ATWQ it was with Hachette's consent, I'm sure. Especially if it looks exactly like the other sign up page. Although I still don't understand the purpose of this procedure, I'm excited Egmont is getting in on this, as it probably means that the lemonysnicket.com website will soon also promote ATWQ, maybe like with a new "tab" at the top, exclusively for ATWQ. As for the emails of the sign up on the newly discovered page, I'm pretty sure they'll either use the same email database that the Hachette site uses, or, a little awkwardly, will send out the same mails the Hachette site will continue to send for a second time.
