I looked at the link you posted above chapter 4 and at the other girls. If you want to see them you can see a few other Snicket coincidences. #1: Uncle Gard and Aunt Cornelia looks like how I imagine Bertrand and Beatrice. #2: Sam's rich. Complete the list for yurself EDIT: I drew it in the intention of making it a fake cover, but I don't think this is really good. TEASER!!!!!!!!

Author's Disclaimer: For info on a character written here, please check here. ================================================================ -Chapter Five- As the automobile drove around the way to Mount Bedford, there were people watching over the large bundle of people crammed inside. The automobile was a small one, and all the people inside crammed into it. Nellie sat on top of Samantha, as she was smaller than her since they met, and her condition did not get better. Beatrice was on top of Sunny’s lap, and Sunny was on top of Violet’s lap, like satay. Annie and Clarabel sat on the remaining spaces. Aunt Cornelia, in the driver’s seat, said, “I think you should read this.” She handed a letter to Samantha. The bundle of volunteers and comrades read it out loud.
“Where nothing is ever quiet?” Nellie asked. She was wondering why Grandmary would write ‘where nothing is ever quiet’. Usually, Samantha’s beloved grandmother would send a letter signed ‘With Love’ or ‘Your Loving’. This usage was unusual so it was right of them to wonder. “It is a code named Volunteers Fine Degrammaring, a code to signal volunteers if there was ever some trouble.” Violet answered. “So, probably Grandmary needs help? With what?” Samantha asked. “I don’t know.” said Aunt Cornelia silently. “Probably she felt..... there was something wrong with... her wedding anniversary.” “ I think you’re hiding a secret, Aunt Cornelia!” Samantha said. “No, I’m not! You’re asking the wrong question!” Her voice was harsh. Samantha blushed. She hated asking the wrong questions.
“An automobile is not the place to discuss such things.” Violet said. Her voice was surprisingly calm and steady. Samantha cleared her throat, trying to change the subject, which was also equally dreadful, but quite informational. “What happened with William?” William Samuel Edwards was Uncle Gard and Aunt Cornelia’s son. The one who was asked threw a sad smile at Samantha. She knew what it meant. He perished in the fire, too. It was a sad thought, but there was nothing they could do. “Look! We’ve almost arrived!!!” Nellie said. It was true. There was a signpost, infront of them, written: -Welcome To Mount Bedford- “Oh! We’ve arrived! How could I forget?” Aunt Cornelia’s tone became cheerful again. The Baudelaires smiled, happy that she returned to her usual moods. The automobile drived cheerfully along the main road. There was a traffic jam. They had to wait for quite a long time. I will not tell the process because it is a long and boring wait. The only thing I will tell you, it was evening when they finally arrived at the house that would be filled with misery and woe that very night.

Sounds difficult, to be crammed into their automobile like clowns in a clown car. They manage well, though. I'm looking forward to reading about whatever trouble they're shortly to get involved in. Being stuck in a cramped car in a traffic jam is a bad enough start, I suppose. Also their family dying.

The part to worry about is: what will happen at the house? And why does Grandmary need help? Date: Probably Friday or Sat on the least.

"where nothing is ever quiet" sounds beautiful, but I think I should better worry about it.

-Chapter Six- When they peeped inside Grandmary’s parlor, the room was full of guests. “I guess we’ll have to go through the back door.” Nellie said. “We don’t want to appear with our dusters and all these stuff.” Violet said. They sneaked through the lily hedge, and throught the kitchen door. There was Mrs. Hawkins, cooking lots of food, and the smell was wonderful. Samantha wanted to eat every single food, but they had to hurry. They ran through the kitchen stairs, and arrived a the second floor. They saw three children, about their age, standing in front of them. They were two boys and one girl, dressed in immigrant clothes. The oldest boy looked strong and stern, and mature. The younger one looked smart and intelligent, yet a bit chubby. The girl looked spunky and petite. “ Meet Iridio, Santorius and Rozmerga Seraphton.” Aunt Cornelia said. Iridio smiled. “Um... nice to meet you.” He sounded embarassed. “ It’s nice to meet you, Miss Parkington and Miss O’ Malley.” Santorius greeted, while bowing in the most respectful fashion. “ Hi, Miss Parkington-um, who’s your name?” Rozmerga asked. “Samantha. And Nellie.” Samantha replied. “Oh, all right. Nice to meet you, Samantha and Nellie! Hi, everyone!” Rozmerga greeted. “Shush! Do you care about being polite?” Santorius whispered. “ I don’t care!” Rozmerga half-shouted. Violet shrugged.
“Quiet!” Elsa, the famously grumpy maid in the mansion grumbled. Everybody went silent. “I guess we should change now.” Iridio grumbled. They began entering their seperate changing quarters, and changed into the clothes the maids had provided. They went out of the room a few moments later, Iridio and Santorius looking smart in their suits, Rozmerga,Sunny and Beatrice with their laced dresses and Violet, Samantha and Nellie looking grown up in their preety dresses, each of the color red, plum and blue. But what was a sight was Aunt Cornelia. She looked like an angel, clad in a pure white dress, high-necked. She looked perfect, unlike her usual appearance, but there was something wrong in her expression. I could not tell what it is, for there are things which you must experience yourself to have a clear description of it, like prata or nasi lemak or kebab. It was a look that could have been sad, through, and that’s the best I can describe. But I must describe Annie and Clarabel, they looked quite fantastic. But there was something dark about them. When the group finally arrived at the parlor-which was crowded now- they saw a woman standing beside a table. “ Ladies and gentlemen, have you signed the guestbook yet?” the woman called. “Oh, I forgot.” Aunt Cornelia replied. Samantha approached the table, signed her name under the collumn which had the name of Cervale Irvana, strangely signed with an eye, and the others followed suit. After everyone signed their guestbook, they heard a few noises, then turned their heads to see the matter. “ So what shall we do next?” came a stern voice. It was Grandmary’s, a voice which was more polite than friendly. “ I want to ride my horse!” a woman said. “ I want to be patriotic!” another shouted. “No, we should take a ride on my sloop, ‘Miss-“another one argued with the second, but another had elbowed her. “We should go to my rancho!” the woman who elbowed the third shouted. “We should stop an epidemic!” a woman said. “We should read Shakespeare!” another woman interrupted. “We should move to another country!” another one called “We should have freedom!” a black woman shouted. “We should see new inventions!” another called over. “We should celebrate Hannukah!” a woman jumped in the riot. “We should save money!” a woman kicked Grandmary. “We should help wounded soldiers!” a woman raised Grandmary up. “We should make changes, and please be silent!” a strong voice was heard, and everyone turned quiet. “With all these mess and riot, I wonder if the party will be safe.” Sunny mumbled. Without the guests realising, there was a shadow that moved stealthily, and the figure held Beatrice by the hand. “Nevermore.” he whispered.

You've made a good effort at imitating some of Snicket's stylistic features in this chapter, Tryina; the part about prata, nasi lemak or kebab being something you just have to experience rather than being told about is particularly something I could see him writing. The description "more polite than friendly" is very insightful about human behaviour, too. I can see we're going to have a good few characters active in this tale. Good luck managing them.

Well done, I also like the "prata or nasi lemak or kebeb"-sentence. And the different people's different suggestions at the end.

Well done, I also like the "prata or nasi lemak or kebeb"-sentence. And the different people's different suggestions at the end. When I wrote this story I just had prata and nasi lemak a few hours ago. Kebab is my favorite food, so I decided to add that in. The different suggestions at the end is a chronogical list of the American Girls, based on their hobbies and stuff. (From 1764 to 1974) Here's the list: 1.Kaya = ride a horse 2.Felicity=be patriotic 3.Caroline=ride her sloop, which was (in reality) named Miss Caroline 4.Josefina=go to the rancho 5.Marie-Grace=stop an epidemic 5.Cécile= read Shakespeare 6.Kirsten=move to another country 7.Addy=have freedom 8.Samantha(she's in the list!)=see new inventions 9.Rebecca=celebrate Hanukkah 10.Kit=save money (and the one who kicked Grandmary in the knee.) 11.Molly=help wounded soldiers (the one who raised Grandmary up) 12.Julie=the one who said everybody must be quiet. Release: Oh my, I hope I am able to do it on Friday-Saturday or Wed-Thu.

Wow, that's really good reasoning behind the list of suggestions at the end; it'd be right out of Snicket to have a long list of reasons like that just made as jokes, but if they're actually allusions, that was a smart idea.

The name on the guestbook refers to an Indonesian wrong-question book released on the same date as WCTBATH.
Psst! They are giving out advanced copies, too!
